This is how you do free agency. You bring guys in -- give them a low offer that you feel is fair -- they go off in search of something better because they want to break the bank. if they get it good for them. if not, they come back and you have a good deal in place for them.

Or you can do it like the Skins and offer twice as much as other teams to get quick signings.

I have no evidence to back it up at all, just rumor.

But I am thinking his injury is still bad enough that he could not pass the physical or it does not look good for the season.

We could have easily brought him in, saw he was not healthy and sent him on his way.

or he wants to look for a better deal. keep in mind he's coming off a pretty big contract. he may still think of himself as a guy who deserves 4 mill a year

oh I think they are both in the same boat.

and I think both will be available in a few weeks if we feel the need.
