Go in the woods, ticks! Play in the grass, fleas and snakes and spiders! Eat certain foods, contaminated! Say certain things, arrested! And on and on—everything’s bad for you or offensive or censored, etc., etc.

I guess it’s all in how you view what a fan forum is about.

You see it as a place to cheer the team on. I see it as a place to discuss and vent the issues of the day much like in other social media venues and topics.

The fun or cheering takes place 60 minutes a week 16 times a year. The rest is to analyze, critic and discuss. That’s the entertainment value here. Not sure what else one would hope to gain from open debate and discussion.

And not everything is negative and miserable. Much like other social media outlets. You must pick and choose where to contribute and scroll past or ignore the rest.

well if you old, then you should remember what off season was like back in 70's -90's.
There was nothing!!!!!!
nothing in newspaper or tv about nfl till TC and even that was just a little here and there.

The internet changed all that, and really for the better, then you could read all offseason, and then forums
and then Internet news.
Tthe only problem is now it is overkill The Internet news shows are desperate for attention,
crazed fans get way too carried away with things like pay dak cut dak etc.

you just have to ignore some of this stuff, and be your own filter.
But I love having all the info, way better than the old days where there was just nothing.

I mainly just come here, because if anything is happening at all , someone posts it lol.
Then I filter what I am interested in or not.
enjoy this forum too, as it is way better than the social media crap where everything is just one line

You obviously miss my meaning. I like to cheer the team on AND discuss and vent, but the ENDLESS handwringing sucks the enjoyment out of it for most people I know. Seriously, how many Dak threads do we need? Is there any aspect or scenario that hasn’t been covered already? C’mon, Cowboys! Just do something!

Yeah Dandy, I enjoy the crap out of this forum too, otherwise I wouldn’t still be here. Plus, I’m old! It’s the overkill and overreaction that takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it for many of us.

It’s tough to navigate thru. Much like any social media venue. Not sure why we think it’s going to get better . But complaining about the complainers begins to all run into the same hole.

I’d suggest to gravitate to those which interest or align with you and ignore and scroll past the others. Again, much like on any social media.
