What's going on with the Cowboys medical/training staff?

They've had some pretty questionable moves lately, with a lot of re-injuries.

Tyron Crawford - If he was truly as limited as he suggests, shouldn't he have been put on the shelf a long time ago? Like very early in the season?

Tony Romo - Rushed back too soon.

Dez Bryant - Rushed back too soon.

Randy Gregory - Rushed back too soon.

Is this just bad luck, or are there some bigger picture issues here?

They were rushed back because the season was slipping away.

In his interview with Spags, Romo says that he needed about 2-3 more weeks before the collarbone would have been fully healed and that he knew if he took a direct shot it would break again........but the season was on the brink and he says he took the gamble to try and save the season.

That seems pretty irresponsible of a medical professional to sign off on that.

We had a bad team without Romo and Dez and a good team with Romo and Dez. And we were playing in a bad division. So, we were trying to get these guys healthy in order to win games and possibly win the division going 9-7.

It's the old 'are you hurt or are you injured?' question.

I think Dez was hurt when he came back. I think if we were leading the division....he doesn't go on I-R at the end of the season.

Romo is a little trickier because you are worried about re-injuring and injuring it worse. I hope they haven't injured it worse. From what I've read it's very common to re-break the clavicle once you have broken it...regardless of how long it has healed. So as long as it's not worse...I don't think it made much of a difference if he came back now or even next year and that's why we need a backup.

They gave Gregory a lot of time to come back and he just couldn't do it. Ankle injuries are always funny.

I was more worried about the hamstring issues they had going on for a few years. To me, that's preventable and should not be happening as much as it was. I'm always skeptical about Woicik and Company as we had one of the best trainers in Joe Juraczek, but he obviously isn't coming back.

I don't think none of these guys was rush. The injuries they suffered lingered and ran the risk of possible reinjury or impact on the field performance. You gotta understand in the NFL everyone plays hurt. When they say someone is good to go it just mean the injury has healed up enough for them to play ball but it doesn't mean they are free from pain.
