Twitter: What's going with Gregory?

Agent would be stupid to take a contract without seeing what he can get on the open market

Indeed, but it's a gamble for both sides and one I think both sides are prepared to take.....after the draft his price may actually reduce. There's no rush in making the decision unlike the Coop situation.

I like RG and have always been on his side in all of the debates, but I would play stingy if I was writing his contract offer.

There has to be more than Fish crap out there........ anyone read/heard anything?

Fisher has been really targeting to the lowest common denominator for at least a couple years now. He is passing off a pure speculation piece by PFF as a "rumor" just to debunk it. Anyone outside the lower end of the IQ spectrum could see PFF is basically just attaching names to teams they see as a fit

If that happens, Kearse is the only one I'm fairly confident we'll match. My goodness, I'd be shocked if they gamble letting Gallup get out there........losing him at this point would be huge but would guarantee a vet free agent signing
They must be confident a deal can get done or Cooper would still be in the roster

He's still figuring out why you can't just tackle an offensive lineman.

Seriously, I'm still waiting to hear his explanation for that incredibly undisciplined and untimely stupid play against the Niners.

Just against SF?
Been quite a few other times as well.

What moron drafts him, carries him on the roster costing other players a spot, only to get suspended time and again. Oh, that's right, our moron GM.

Does not count as a roster spot while suspended.
But I guess one could say it did once he returned.
However was that 53rd player going to be better also. Probably not.

Anyway possibly may be time to move on. I won’t complain either way.

Clocks ticking. He is free to negotiate with other teams tomorrow. Same with Gallup who has been "imminent" for a while now
I would be surprised if Gallup signed elsewhere. Believe Gregory will ultimately return, but am worried that Kearse departs.

If you're Randy you hit the market and run it up because this will be his only contract of significance.

Cowboys DL without RG n DLaw has the potential to be at the bottom of the league in sacks. Somebody better get they mind right in the front office.

Let him go. He's been nothing but a headache since he got here and he's slightly above average.

After a couple great games I still don't get the Gregory love. Very inconsistent and had an awful awful game when he was needed most in the playoffs. I still think he's a player with potential, but hasn't proven he's worth any large contract or something other than a short term deal.

If I had to guess the Cowboys don't fully know what the Gregory market will be so will let him test it. The Cowboys loyalty to him has earned them an opportunity to match an offer.

If he does walk, we are collecting a fairly significant list of positions that need to be addressed.
We started with IOL and DL/LB as positions of weakness (assuming we kept our significant FA's), now we've added T and WR to the list IMO.
If you keep RG and DLaw, and have Parsons who will see snaps at Edge, (plus decent back ups in Basham and Gholston), I think we are solid at Edge. If he walks, yet another position needing to be addressed.
