The draft is fast approaching and as I put together rankings based on about 300 - 350 players, these are just some things that come to mind with some of the names:
* Color me not surprised: there are 3 Browns (4 if you count "St. Brown"), a Green and 2 White's (3 if you count "Whitehead"
* Initials please: there are 7 on my list that use initials for their first name and remarkably ALL of them but one have "J" as the second letter? BJ, DJ (three of them), MJ, RJ - coincidence that our owner has a "J" for his last name? inquiring minds wanna know....also, JC is the other (and in this religious season, nothing wrong with that)
* Multiples: We have two each of Adams, Carter, Chubb, Edmunds, Hamilton, Harrison, Hill, Hearst, Miller, Nelson...3 each of Johnson, Phillips and Smith, four Jacksons,Jones and Thomas'
- first names? 6 Mike/Michael's, 5 Josh's, 3 each of "DJ", James and Will
* A Team will get the Clapp if they draft "Will" from LSU
Anyway....let the games begin....I will be putting together the same type of Excel spreadsheet as in past years and will try to put that in here if anyone is interested
Also, if anyone wants to help create a "zone" mock using this process, let me know. If a minimum of 8 to 10 people want to give me their mocks by April 1st or so, I will combine everything into a "cowboyszone" mock; I would need at least 200 players ranked (it can be more) by who you think is best, not necessarily by the draft order (example: if you think Cleveland uses the first pick on Sam Darnold, but think that Barkley is the best player, then put Barkley first in your mock)...let me know if you are interested (PM me) - if no interest, I am still doing my spreadsheet, I had fun with it last year and so did others....thanx
