What's Next if Bledsoe Plays Bad Again?

Straddle the fence, why don't cha?:laugh2:

It's not a fence straddle - it's reality. There is no clear answer because there are a number of factors to be considered.

If you look at my post you will realize the bottom line is that if Bledsoe plays well Romo stays sitting. I was only trying to provide some scenarios for how things may shake out if Bledsoe doesn't play well.

I know what you were trying to do. I was just pulling your chain.

I actually assumed you were but it can be hard to tell in print sometimes.

I vote for gallows, if he plays like that against the Skins. I'll knee-jerk with the best of 'em then.

Is it knee jerking when the % chance of making the playoffs starting 0-2 is not very good.

The odds are if we start 0-2 we want make the playoffs (14% of the teams made it in a 14 year period that started 0-2) without making a dramatic change. So whats the only dramatic change we can make on this team ?

We do not have an Emmitt Smith holding out like in 93; The Patriots went from 0-2 to SuperBowl when Bledsoe went away.

So you tell me how that is being knee jerk if we go 0-2 with history suggest 0-2 is bad real bad.

We also are going up against two pretty good teams. These are games you lose sometimes, and I'd rather lose them early than late. If Bledsoe plays well, and we lose, there's no reason to pull him. I just think making a decision after two games, unless something is CLEARLY wrong with him, is a bit premature.

Is that 14% posted somewhere or did you take the time to calculate it yourself?

The Patriots had the best defense in football and the best special teams in football to supplement a "managed qb" situation. Their offense rarely scored more than 20 points but the D and ST were terrific. In the entire playoffs Brady never had a passing touchdown, not one!!

The Cowboys defense and ST are middle of the pack at best. I don't think it is a reasonable comparison at all.

I actually wasn't questioning the accuracy of the stat - I assumed there was a foundation for it. It just seemed like the kind of stat that would be pretty difficult to find - I was surprised it was readily available.

It's like watching a game on TV and ocassionally the announcers pull out a stat that leaves you amazed that they pay someone to find and have that kind of info available on the off chance the announcers will ever need it.
