OK Everyone......

1st game finally here on Sunday!!!

I'm having the in-laws and some freinds over.

Making it a theme thing. We are going with something from the opposing team.

In this case, I think we are cooking some Hot Dawgs from their infamous Dawg pound and some Brownies for dessert of course! :D

What about you guys?

What are your plans?

What's on the menu?

I flew into Dallas a few years ago for the game with the Browns. The night before the game there were a whole bunch of them eating at the same BBQ joint we were at. They were talking smack so I asked them "What, exactly, is a Brown anyway? Oh, that's right. It a color. The color of dog crap!"

That pretty much prevents me from preparing a theme menu for the browns. A baby ruth bar maybe?

Actually, we got to know some of them and they were very nice folks. There was another group who rented the luxury suite at the game right next to ours. They were great too, and had even brought a Cowboys fan with them from Ohio.

I'm starting the pre-game with lobster bisque. Then moving onto a tender cut of filet during the first half. At halftime, my maid, Francheska, will massage my toes, and in the second half I'm having my butler, Jeeves, serve up the best platter of pate and crackers that you ever did see. After the Cowboys victory, it's on to dessert; hello Francheska! :catty: :laugh2:

Real Texas Chilli. The kind you absolutely cannot find here in the Northeast. Good thing I remember how to make it :)

Don't usually have chilli till around Jan-Feb when it gets cold here. It gets to be around 50 degrees. :D

You just have to know how to do it. I very the amount of cayenne pepper used based on how warm / cool it is. A *good* chilli is a year around food. If you're buying it from a chain restaurant, from a can, or not using fresh ingredience it's not *good* chilli.

The game isn't televised here, so I may be out to eat. If so, I will definitely be doing the carne asada plate at the Cat House.

If the game is streamed and I can stay home Da Fans idea of dogs and brownies works for me.

I might have to talk the better half in to making some chili.

You're right. My wife will make it several times a year, year round. I was just trying to be funny in saying that cold weather to most of us in S. Texas is when it gets to be 50 degree. LOL

I'm dieting so it will just be 6 or 7 pints of IPA, no food for me.
