Im looking for an estimate. Maybe a 5th?
should be a 5th rounder
Might get a 4th if we light a candle....
Better light 2 then
I meant to say if All of Us light a candle....
Prende la vela!!!!
How would it be differentiated between a 4 or a 5? Considering he was undrafted, a jolly good Compensation that would be. Cuz if his production ends up being good along with his contract, I could see it becoming a 4.
Two Snickers bars and a Mountain Dew.
Exactly. This is a team game.
Draft status doesn't matter. It's just the contract
Right, but I thought that production played a bit of a role too.
Sorry i just implyed that when i said contact. But where he was drafted doesn't matter.
Yo brother,, I made Carnitas the other day, and its not even football season.
As of now it’s a 5th. It is, however, subject to be cancelled by any compensatory free agents the team signs as well as additional free agents lost.
It’s always less then what we expect. Prob be a 6th
w/e, any compensation is good stuff...it is my hope that there is SOME legit signing that cancels this out
5th and 7th for Swaim
The exact formula isn't published, but the contract signed appears to be the "starting point" for the draft pick positioning. However, the NFL is on record stating that how the player performs with the new team DOES factor into it. Post season awards too. This is why the NFL doesn't announce the comp picks until well after the season ends.
Let's say that we do not sign any more guys that would further muddy the comp pick waters and Beasley performs as expected (50 catches for 750 yards or so) with the Bills. The comp pick would be unchanged due to the performance and the contract rules the roost. However, let's imagine that Josh Allen decides that Beas is the only guy that can get open and throws to him A LOT. Beas goes for 145 catches for 2100 yards and wins MVP due to his tendency to catch passes that are normally not possible, like off his nameplate on the back of his jersey. Suddenly, THIS type of performance DOES affect the comp pick. So what looks like a 5th today, might become a 3rd.
So we can estimate, which is what Over the Cap does; but we don't REALLY know until after the season plays out.
Welp, think it's going to be a 7th then it can only get better from there....
