What's the chance that Romo could be the next big thing in Dallas?

Could be the next big thing in Dallas? Seriously could Romo be the next Brett Favre, a guy that was simply passed by... When I look at Romo I see a guy who has all the abilities in the world... All is missing is a chance to shine... I see Romo in a simuliar position as Jake Delhomme... When he finally got his chance he made the best of it... Now granted I do believe it's a long shot, but it's a possibility... The only downfall is having a coach like Parcells who tends to go with his vets... If indeed Romo turns out to be the next big quarterback it would end years of frustration... Not to mention that we actually found a guy from the practice team rather than use a #1 pick on or a major trade to obtain one... Sort of like a needle in a haystack...

Let the guy actually throw and complete a pass in a regular season game before you title him the next great thing. I hope he pans out, but this stuff is just stupid.

normal-fied

but to answer your question, even if he was the next brett farve or even Troy Aikman, it would not end the years of fustration due to us not having a young micheal or Emmitt...unless of course Hurd and either JJ or MB3 steps up in tall order.

Word out of Canton, is the construction crew just moved Roger and Troy's bust over a little and a clean spot is waiting on ROMO!

No comparison to Farve, IMO. More like Brady. Farve was drafted in the second round by Atlanta and then traded to Green Bay for a first round pick. Atlanta saw the opportunity to pick up a first round pick and unload a QB who was too heavy into the alcohol. Brady on the other hand was a very late round pick who did all the right things and replaced the starter when he got injured. Just my opinion.

Of course this is all speculative, he could be the next Garret as well.

I do think we have something at running back with MB3 and JJ... I also believe that Crayton will be a player for a long time for the Cowboys... BP is looking at a win and win at all cost with the likes of Bedsore, TO and TG... It's a shame about Antonio Bryant, but I think next year the Cowboys might look into getting a nice young stud in the draft considering that we have used the draft on defense for some many years in a row... But don't forget we have our Novacek in Witten and if this kid from Notre Dame is a player then we are right where we need to be minus 1 stud WR who is young...

LMAO... Know you didn't go there with Jason Garrett...

I was hoping that we could have gone after Drew Brees, but you know BP... He loves to have his "FOB"s... Friends of Bill...

No, because it was done in blue bold verdanna 4 font screaming "notice me," so naturally I ignored it.

Come on people, I know we all want hope for the future at the QB position, but the hysteria with some posters about Romo is unbelievable.

Romo is NOT the next Favre--who has one of the best arms of all-time, Romo has an average arm--nor is he the next Brady, who is on pace to be the greatest QB of this generation and maybe all-time.

The Cowboys are hoping that with playing experience he MIGHT be the next Jake Delhomme or Drew Brees. Nothing wrong with that, because of course, those are a couple of pretty good QBs.

whats with all the romo-favre comparisons?! favre was hardly just "passed by". why doesn everyone want him to be the next favre? i would prefer maybe a quarterback who throws a few less INTS

We Cowboy fans are desperate for our next quarterback. We are paying for the 10 years Jerry ignored the position. Drafting Quincy and taking numerous shots in the dark and now here we are ready to annoint a quarterback we have never seen in a regular season game. I hope Romo ends up being the answer. The alternative is the continuation of the quarterback search saga in Dallas.
