What will it take for the knucklehead clan to get this guy some targets? I see him in on blocking downs and he is getting the job done in that regard, constantly springing Zeke. So what's it going to take to throw this guy the ball? I mean must I wish for multiple injuries?

I’m gonna chalk it up to the new guy having to get water bottles for the team. Imagine the PR if he was fresh to football and playing at the NFL level and being severely injured on the field cause he lacked proper technique and awareness. This ain’t his first year now but they are gonna see how committed he is to the game before the media blows that ego out the water. He will be a weapon for sure.

I agree it's strange- but remember the coaches see things every day, both on the field and in the classroom, that we never see. They may know things we don't.

I don't know about you but I don't trust a thing they see. They saw Byron as a safety. They saw the receiving core prior to Amari as good. They saw the fill in left tackle (last year) that was roasted for a career sacks given up, and still used him.
They also saw Connor Williams in practice, and thought he would be good this year at left guard.

I could go on and on, but I think we all get the point.

He is just not as good as some think he is.... At this time.

Too many make him out as if he is some super star TE that is being held back because this team does not want to play him N order to hurt the team or diminish his possible superstar status.

Not sure why it is so hard to understand that he is still a work in progress. A person that never played college football.

He has the natural size and athletic ability to get drafted after not playing college football but still has to learn the game in the NFL.

When your QB is already struggling with finding open receivers and getting rid of the ball on time, you don't add to the problem by sending a meathead out there who has a good chance of running the wrong route, or just plain running into another receiver.
Couple thoughts come to mind.

Running the wrong route would probably upgrade the offense.

QB ain't gonna throw it unless he's all by himself.
So, not really an issue.

Teams seem to focus on him when he gets reps, not open enough for Dak.
