Great game IMO
Dak played very well
We do need a hammer RB to have a great offense

Excuses for what? Played smart conservative football and let the defense do their thing. Hope they keep doing it all the way to a ring.
This. Exactly what we needed after all those hooraa football years, which got us all the stats but nowhere near a Lombardi.

Don't play Dak like he's Mahomes and this team can find the consistency it lacked for so long. That's why we won with Cooper that's how we should play with Dak. He played well. Well enough to secure a safe win.

Let's be the "boring" team for a change (as boring as a 40-0 shutout win can be lol). Dak drives the bus safely to the destination and the defense keeps everything manageable.

Me likey that game plan. Oh, and what a nice and clean opening drive. A year ago the first three would have been blanks.

Boat raced when they had to settle for FGs, The big thing is they need a between the tackles runner, these "scat" backs need perfectly blocked plays or they get blown up.
You understand football. And there are too many people that debate by looking at stats...because they really don't understand what they are looking at. And I say all of that with an appreciation for the win...but also with an understanding of what we are and what we are not. I know who Dak is. I know who Cee Dee is. I know who Pollard is. And you will win regular seasons games with those guys. But there is something missing....and what it is might be the same thing its been for almost the last 30 years...but I just know something is missing.

I appreciate the win. I just prefer to keep an even keel, especially with this team. ;)

You can do it (= win it all) without that missing piece. Teams have done it in the past.

The Niners game will show us who we really are. Until then, rack up the wins and all is good.

there will be teams willing to take away the dink and dunk and Dak will need to beat them in the intermediate to long areas of the field.
That also opens up the long passes if they do that. Dak can throw it deep; maybe not as accurate as we would like, but he has the ability.

It's not an excuse, but the defense took the ball away four or five times right?

This defense is playing lights out as far as the TO battle is concerned. It's a rare, once in a blue moon team that loses the TO battle 4-0 or 5-0 that is going to win a game against any team.

So it's hard to say just how well this offense is playing until that TO battle is even.

Jets are depressed because their savior is out for season. Defense didn’t play to par.

Cowboys are even MORE depressed, because one of our great people Gil Brandt passed away. Death hurts more than an injured person who's still alive.

Our whole team didn't play to par, but we still won.

Like I said in another thread, we have to score when it's first and goal from the 1. But when Dallas was up 24-10, all they needed were points there. Up 3 scores against the Jets, game over.

5 FG’s are totally fine. Had this been a competitive game we could have scored 60

Our offence hasn't been dominate.. but it doesn't need to be. This D is beyond.. it is now a league leading D. The turnovers, the pressure.. Just wow. Parsons is elite elite.. like pay him whatever he wants.. elite.

Dak did what he needed to do.. statement drive to start the game.. then just rode the D, run game and short passing all the way to the finish line. Never gave Jets a sniff, very few (I think only 2?) 3 and outs.. which meant crazy TOP stats. Of course it would have been great to rain down TDs.. but I like the conservative play calling. Kellen Moore was more interested in running up a stat line rather than making a team that could go all the way.

I am loving the team first attitude.. no one having to perform miracles. Dak is playing like a more mature version of his 2016 self.. which is a very good thing. Lamb is going to get enough catches to move the ball.. and our explosive pace across RB is great to watch.. and we have enough TEs that Dak will rarely have to pass beyond the sticks.

First two weeks have been the most complete I have seen this franchise play in a long, long time. All three phases playing very well. Jets looked defeated in the fourth.. utterly beaten. Bring it on!
