Why would anyone within the organization keep feeding info to Werder and his type, true or not? Does he pay them for info? Take them to dinner? What is the incentive for an anonymous tipster to keep this circus in town?

I think it's pure stupidity/naivete. There's no incentive. People just sing when they're asked questions. People like to gossip.

....and it helps to have a guy like Owens' on your team to gossip about. Someone was likely duped into saying something stupid, Werder got wind of it and got a chubby after the way Owens had been treating him...and this is the result. Shocking.
