2. Tell the Wally Pipp story.
3. Tell the Tortoise and the Hare story.
4. Talk about giving 110% without explaining the math.
5. Add in a few sayings like "If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail" & "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up"
6. Remind them it's supposed to be hard and if it wasn't everyone would do it
7. Use the words "blood, sweat and tears" as many times as possible

Well, you know the first answer, DT. We need 2 of them, starter quality. The current squad are backup types.

We need to lose and get high draft picks and rebuild. Only way to rebuild w/o those high draft picks is a heady GM, and we have the complete opposite of that.

This looks like a 9-8 team, maybe 10-7 even. But, if the Gnats actually find a QB, we could lose all our div games.

They need to go bowling together and have weekly dinners to start with to really care about each other.
