What's the main thing coach Schottenhiemer needs to work on with this team?

He needs to lock down the ideal gatorade flavor for game days and let Jerry take care of the rest. Personally Orange isnt my favorite, but its such a light flavor that isnt too tart or acidic that just makes its very drinkable on hot days.

Day 1 of meetings/practice, what does our head coach need to tell our players and what does he need to work on to get this team on the right path. Leaving our Jerry Jones and management, let's focus on the coach and what he needs to work on, so this team is on a successful path to a great 2025 season??? Please give your thoughts.
Personally i believe Schotty is a great guy. Problem is we have a SOFT football team and a Nice guy is not what is needed. this hire was to keep the player happy not to fix the team.

"Last year you sucked - dirty balls! This year you don't have to suck, and you can get the other team's balls out of your mouths."

It's all about what we all want together. Anyone not wanting on this train can get off now. There is a train station outside of this room where you can spend more of your time sucking other people's balls.

The message is clear. Last year bad. This year commit to paying the price to be best. You can leave now if this doesn't suit you.

Obviously no one will leave (at least I hope not), but give the team a simple and clear message. 1 minute or less. This is the tone for the season. Everything else builds from there. You repeat the simple one minute message throughout the season to re-centre the team on the one driving premise. You don't have to suck if you don't want to.

This messaging also puts you as a coach and an organization out of having to take on the burden and excuses of things like injury and we didn't get the players we wanted last offseason. Those are things out of their control. We re-centre on things within our control. NOT SUCKING.

Just for fun, Schotty can play the short little video of Dak sidling up to Trey Lance and saying, "This teams sucks." Then he can walk out of the room, and let the players discuss and play out the crap from last year.

The Schotty train is leaving this year and last year's crap is being left behind.

Attention to details. Blocking the right guys, eliminating pre-snap penalties, every man doing his job and trusting everyone else will too.
100%, it's the nuanced details and keeping folks accountable to their assignments, routes, avoiding penalties etc.

Second priority is revamping the running game and also installing more motion and unique route designs.

If that goes well and the front office can address the personnel to aid the run game and middle of the dline penetration perhaps that gets this team back on track. In reality upgrading RB, DT, and OL is the minimum. Adding WR2, LB, and another corner would also be a big step forward. I don't know if all that gets addressed this offseason.

Someone here referred to him as “No Schott.”

Accurate. Reminds me of the Campo era when Jerry’s fingerprints are all over everything more than usual.

The division isn’t going to roll over for them as they have in the recent past.

NY is going to end up with either Sanders or Ward, and if either is anything decent, Dallas (along with their declining QB who can’t run) is staring at the NFCE basement for some time to come.

Meanwhile Jerry and his kid will “roll up their sleeves” and “take a long hard look” and try to catch up…one draft at a time.

Hopefully that leads to the necessary changes. I’m not so sure how long they can continue to sell their ineptitude as the past they live off gets further away.

Easy answer: The CULTURE. Needs to say, "We are an NFL football team in search of a championship and not a side show circus."

but

the hard truth is as long as Jerry and Stephen Jones are calling the shots the culture will probably not change. Key the music! The midway is open.

Formulate a plan to score at least one more point than each opponent.

  1. Start with the "Never Assume" speech (makes an *** out of u and me)
  2. Tell the Wally Pipp story.
  3. Tell the Tortoise and the Hare story.
  4. Talk about giving 110% without explaining the math.
  5. Add in a few sayings like "If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail" & "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up"
  6. Remind them it's supposed to be hard and if it wasn't everyone would do it
  7. Use the words "blood, sweat and tears" as many times as possible
  8. Close with a personal story about overcoming obstacles.
You forgot about the process

OK, so this is really TWO questions.

1. what does our head coach need to tell our players?

DISCIPLINE!! Eliminate penalties.
Know you job cold, but everyone's job on your side of the ball too.

2. what does he need to work on to get this team on the right path?

In addition to the obvious two above:
Trenches. 100%. You win or lose on the LOS. Period.
Make the middle of the defense into the STRENGTH of the unit: DT, ILB, SS

When you call me all night and I don't answer who's delusional then?

Not only that, but so damn annoying....20 posts a day like a child asking daddy "are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?". He has to be a kid, because a grown man does not act that way.

But, I want to be a mod! smdh

The main thing Der Schottenheimer needs to do is get his team to score more points than the other team

No reason to complicate this thing

Not possible.
