I use a bluetooth to talk on the phone, but I dont get the purpose for it for computers?

I'm looking to buy another laptop and one of the reviews against it was because it didn't have bluetooth.

Too bad bluetooth headsets don't come with chords so their owners can hang themselves with them. Not you WG.

Blue tooth to buletooth data transfer Bluetooth mice so you do not need to add a usb outside one

Headphones etc etc are the most common use

There are a number of wireless devices such as wireless keyboards and mice that use bluetooth.

She's not talking bluetooth cell phone headsets. She is talking about LAPTOP bluetooth options.

Do you hold your laptop up to your ear when you are talking? :D

If you do then you are right, you probably look like a dork.

If you have Nintendo Wii, you can transfer stuff back and forth to the controllers. I have seen videos where you can modify your Wii character, etc.

Transferring pictures from my phone is my most common use of bluetooth on my laptop.

Basically look at it like a wireless USB. Though they done use the same protocols.

Most computer wireless devices do not use bluetooth however there are several such as keyboards and mice that do. Yeager is right in that you can transfer files such as photos, videos, etc. back and forth between your computer and phone as long as your phone allows it.

Which laptop are you looking at, WG?

Bluetooth is more robust in small areas and eats away less battery than regular wireless. Wireless has advantages as well it just depends on what you are doing

I also feel dorky when i use one of these new phones by Apple, not to mention they are really awkward to hold and never seem to get any reception.
