What's the secret to getting a team to play at a 43-3 or 56-14 level all the time?

Cowboys are Front Runners regardless of who they are playing. If Washington or Atlanta came out swinging and were still in the game by halftime the cowboys would have struggled. Denver is technically a bad team, but they came out unfazed by the cowboys offense or defense. Once they showed they weren't gonna lay down Dallas Struggled. This front runner mentality really is an indictment in Kellen more than anyone else. You can blame Dak but truth be told Dak has proven he can win from behind earlier in his career. When Moore took over in 19' this issue of either scoring 40 and winning easily or scoring 17 and getting blown out came along. The common denominator is Kellen. I'm not in anyway saying Linehan is better but Moore has some unique flaws

If you want exhibit A on how deceiving the season stats were, look no further than those 2 games plus the week 17 massacre of backups.

You don't have to.. I will say it for you.. Linehan was better.. so was Garrett. At least in the all important getting out of the gate department. The 2016 Cowboys were especially known for scoring on their opening drive. That remained the case for the most part throughout their tenure with Dak and Zeke on the field. They weren't as good at it in 17-18 as they had been in 2016, but they were still really good. In steps Moore in 2019 and the opening series offense invariably looks like game day is the first time they've ever seen the opponent. There is no plan of attack.. no targeted matchups.. nothing.. Just a bunch of disjointed plays trying to "see how the defense is playing us." To hell with that.. Watch film.. figure out who on the opposing defense sucks and build a game plan around exploiting the hell out of him. Get up two TDs before they figure it out and be ready to attack the next weakness when the opposing DC has to adjust.
