What's the win-loss record for QBs whose defense surrenders 51 points?

My guess is, something like 0-50? 0-100?

(Meaning NFL regular-season and playoff games only, of course)

Case closed.

actually, I think it is something like 3-363. It's all Romo's fault. If he hadn't thrown that pick it would have been 4-362. (okay, that last is sarcasm.)

True.

Blaming Romo is like blaming a pitcher who has pitched a near-perfect game all game long but his team scores no runs and the game is tied 0-0 late in the ninth when that pitcher finally throws a bad pitch that ends in a solo home run and his team loses 1-0.

Teams are 0-174 when giving up 51 or more points.
Teams are 4-176 when giving up 48-50 points.

If a pitcher goes 9 innings and gives up 1 run, he's done his job (more than, really). Doesn't matter when he gave up the run. The idea that he's at "fault" for his team's failure to score is ludicrous.

Obviously the pitcher got out pitched, not the batter's fault.

your analogy makes no sense whatsoever unless you say what the other pitcher was doing, did he also have a perfect game? did he give up 20 hits and have 10 double plays behind him?
