Not sure if he is worth a "boat load" of picks. He comes with a massive deal. You can't trade away picks and pay the large salary. You are paying twice that way. Just like we do when we pay picks for WRs then give them massive deals. The massive deal would be enough to get the WR on its own. The pick would get the WR on its own. Giving up both is madness.
Why not???? You're getting a player that makes your team an instant playoff contender. It's rare, very rare elite QBs are available for trade. Especially one w/o character or injuries concerns as the case with Watson. Take the Jets or Dolphins, for example, both teams have a ton of cap money and draft picks. Both have questions/concerns about their current young QB. Think they care about paying Watson knowing the immediate impact he brings to their team? Jets can offer the 2nd pick overall, Donald and probably 2022 1st. Dolphins can offer Tua and 2 1st rounders and I'm not sure that will be enough coz I can see as many as 4-5 teams in play.
