I've read loads about Pat Watkins.

Skyler Green had some good press his first day in camp.

I've seen plenty of Fasano pics.

I think I've even read more about our late round offensive linemand and undrafted QB Mroz, then I have Carpenter.

What's up? None of the Zone members or press have really made much mention about him yet other than the standard 1st round draft pick waterboy remarks. I know he's not playing with the first team, but I've read several highlights from other players who weren't as well. What does he look like? Any first impressions?

Oh and Parcells has talked about BC. Said he's very talented and very smart (learning the system quickly).

Watch out for this Patrick Watkins character like I've said all along don't be shocked if he cracks the starting lineup sooner than people think...

It's because our 5th rounder is so incredibly good that he's overshadowing the 1st rounder.

Agree about Watkins.
Parcells talked about him in today's PC.
Said he thought he(Watkins) has a chance.
They asked about if Parcells has ever seen a player who compares in size?
Parcells thought about awhile and said he's kind of big and lanky like Blount(Steelers-cb from the 70's).
But he also said that you do not see a player with his size at safety.
Parcells also said that he is at 211lbs now and that when he gets into a good nutrition routine he will get to 220lbs quick. Then he said you have to be careful with him on that because you do not want to see him lose any speed that he currently has now.
I was suprised to see him talk that much about the rookie.
I take it as a good sign.

HIs combination of speed and height, he reminds me of a Randy Moss on defense. (Pat Watkins that is).

And I too would like more reports from Carpenter if possible.

Preseason games we be on soon. Training camp reports are great, but seeing him in real time football will let all of us know how far along his development is.
