I can't find one anywhere. I finally decide to get one and they don't exist. All the regular suspect, Best Buy, Toys R Us, even Amazon are all out. Amazon will let you order but the ship time is 1-2 months.

Anyone know what the story is on this?

Hmmm...that's weird. They're all over the place where I live. You can find them at Hastings, Walmart, malls, everywhere here.

Probably best to just hold off anyway.

Sony is advising people to not turn on their PS3s until there is some fix for some weird problem they have going around.

Thats weird. You darn near trip over them in every store I go too.

You could always buy one on ebay or craigslist too and save a few bucks.

For some reason, not around Nashville. I have been told at the stores that Sony has been the problem, not anticipating the demand and they have not caught up from Christmas.

Don't want to do Ebay or CL because I want to get the extended warranty. My rule of thumb is to buy one on any electronics over 200.00.

I never buy those warranties. I think they are scams. If it breaks, I'm bringing it back to the store. If they won't take it, then i'm buying the exact same product, putting the bad one in the new box, and taking it back and telling them it doesn't work, I want my money back.

Some people think that technique is questionable. I don't. If I drop 200 bucks on a product, I expect it to work for years. And I better get my moneys worth out of it. I'm not paying for a product and the manufacturer thinks I should have to pay for a secondary warranty on it. Stand by your stuff.

Just my two cents.

I totally agree with you, they should stand behind their product.

But they only have limited warranties and this covers most any eventuality. Of course the cost must be proportionate to the item bought for it to make sense.

It's back in stock on Amazon I think.

I watched someone play Hard Rain this weekend, and it was pretty awesome. Was like watching a Showtime/Premium Cable Channel TV show series (a la Dexter)

My cousin used to scam Wal Mart that way. He might find an old tv on the side of the road, buy a tv of the same size at Wal Mart, and then take it back.

You can get it from amazon. I usually do amazon for most of my game purchases. They like to do offers. Example: preorder FFXIII get $10 Video Games Credit. Use that for Amazon PSN Store and save.
