For the first 2 weeks, our #1 WR Amari Cooper has looked a little sluggish at times, not as crisp or as fast as last year, plus he's dropped quite a few passes that have hit him square in his hands. Has missing a big chunk of training camp and preseason, due to a heel injury, slowed him down that much? Any word if he's fully healthy? Is anyone worried in case Gallup's MRI on his knee shows a serious injury that might cost him some time off?

Cooper always had drops.

And last year the Cowboys tried to use Gallup a lot even with Cooper in the lineup.

If Gallup misses a game or more we'll see how Cooper responds.

Coop has elite potential and realizes it a lot. I'm not too worried about him. I just think Moore's not being one dimensional and overfeeding him the way that Linehan used to do with Megatron and Dez.

I think he is fine. Getting everbody involved in the offense makes him look like ineffective. He gets the ball targeted at him when he is one on one but when he is on double coverage, it is up to his teammates to make a play and they do.

It all started with his addition, it will just get better as long as he is on the field.

He’s fine. He has a foot injury iirc but he’s not Julio Jones level like he played after the trade last year.

Coop is still doing good work when he gets the chance. But Kellen Moore's offense is built around taking what the defense gives you. If they leave Gallup on 1 on 1, guess who's getting a target. If they load the box to blitz, quick hitter to Cobb for YAC. If the safeties are cheating down against the run, play action then throw a post to Jarwin.

This isn't like offenses we've seen in the past, when the #1 WR is always one of the first two reads and gets funneled tons of targets. Moore feels a lot more deliberate about how he targets the defense, and he has way more tools to do it than just Cooper.

Missed a lot of camp. Practice matters

He drops a few. That’s not new.

Cooper is fine. He has been playing well. Other than a few drops.

Everybody is getting open right now. No need to force it to Cooper yet.

I'm with you on the drops but everything else I don't see.. He's scored in back to back weeks and has looked great.

He has two td's and had 100 yards the first game. He has had good production so far. They are spreading the ball around more that in the past, so don't expect him to take over every game. He has dropped more passes than I would like, but he has always dropped balls

Yeah his catching the ball in traffic is suspect.
