What's with the Green Bay overhype?

That Detroit win was not impressive. Goff had a fumble 6. The ball went forward about 7 yards so you can argue it was an incomplete pass but they called it a fumble and it went for 6 the other way. Either way, it was an extremely flukey play.

Then Dan Campbell fails on a fake punt but he was in desperation mode and wouldn't make that call if that other play was called right. So that's another GB TD.

without those 2 plays. The first one flukey and directly resulted in the 2nd one even existing....Detroit could've won that game. Packers offense did nothing after the first 2 drives.

Not sure I call that win impressive. Only thing they did all year that might've raised an eyebrow is beat the Chiefs. Beating the Rams with Brett Rypien doesnt count.
Goff's fumble was forced by the Packers defense. It doesnt matter how far the ball went forward, that has no bearing on whether it was a fumble or not. It was a clear fumble, the ball was out of Goff's hand before his arm went forward. Turnovers are not 'flukey'

The Packers O was moving the ball well nearly the entire game against DET, we simply went conservative early and started running the clock. The O played good all the way through though.

Not to mention, the Lions scored a garbage time TD to make it look closer then it was.

Keep hearing on podcasts and national shows about how Dallas should be worried about Green Bay.

The same team that gave up 30 to Carolina, which scored 0 points their final two games? The same team that lost to Tampa by 14 at home and to the Giants the week before? Those all came after those “monster” wins over Detroit and KC.

This team (Dallas) can’t overlook anybody, but I’m not getting the “scary” vibes from the Packers.
Every team in today’s NFL sucks. LOL

Can point out plenty of stinker games for everyone.

Except maybe the Ravens.

The Packers only scored 17 points in their last game, at home against Chicago. I'm hoping we can hold them to the same, or lower. They are a lot like Dallas. World beaters one week, Arizona the next.

I don't get it either. The Packers were the team I was hoping the Cowboys would get.

Same thing with the Dallas over hype as if a team is going to just lay down for us, let's take it game by game, second by second

Bad comparison, arizona beat up a few teams you might know of

In the playoffs you have to be worried about everyone. It’s do or die. The Cowboys haven’t had much postseason success against Green Bay.
Agree.

Also, poor game plans and turnovers will get us beat.

GB could try to take away our passing game. Which is CD. So look for him to be doubled. A lot of short zones. See the Cards game.

We can't run either.

So I am not taking anything for granted.

it's not like we beat a lot of winning teams.

Hype because there are apparently questions about our defense still, and GB can run/throw with multiple weapons. The same hype train also does mention that their D is awful, so it's not a one sided debate

GB has the type of offense that can give this team problems, it's pretty much that simple.

Green bay is really no better than us playing the Giants to be honest. There is no way Dallas loses to a team with a defense as bad as Green Bay's. Dak is gonna have a field day against that secondary. Cowboys with a 40 burger easy.
42- 17

I’ve got 45-24, so we’re close. It would be worrisome if we don’t win by a TD. This is one of those games where how we win matters to me significantly more than just winning the game.

Yup, I cheered like hell when Wentz scored that TD for the Rams. Facing Los Angeles in the first round would have been worst-case scenario.

Ravens are the only team in the playoffs who have not had an objectively bad game. Three losses with starters were by a combined 12 points.

Why? Ghosts of recent past. The Packers have kinda been a nightmare for the Cowboys since 2010 or so.

Heck, look at last season when a 4-8 Packers had the largest 4th quarter comeback in Cowboys history and won with a bad team. The ball always seems to bounce funny against the Packers.

My personal opinion is none of that means diddly, and this Cowboys team is so much better than this young Packers team, this game won't even be close.

It’s the playoff every team will be a problem. But I think we will Peter roll them. Dallas just needs to stop they run game so they can eliminate the play action.

Because they were inconsistent to start the season but the last five weeks they've been one of the most consistent teams in the league their quarterback has became steady they bring a strong run game with two guys that can run the football and then they have play action pass they got a lot of deep ball guys that seems to be perfect fit for their quarterback they are dangerous..

And by the way it's not just hyping up the Packers they do the things that give our team the most problems they have two guys that can run the football all day and then they can throw the deep ball at a moments notice with the play action and this team in the past has not been equipped to stop that type of run game and we have been lit up in the deep passing game when we have to bring our safeties into the box to stop the run...

So it's not just that they're hyping up the Packers they're saying the Packers are one of the bigger mismatches for us in the first round compared to like what others could have came here I mean all playoff teams are dangerous trust me there aren't gonna be any cakewalks but this particular teams strengths are put up on our weaknesses..

Now The thing is I don't know anything about their defense really I mean I don't know how well they're gonna hold up against our offense but I know our defense has trouble against these type of offenses... I mean do we not remember how that run game in the second-half last year up in Green Bay I know they had Aaron Rodgers but the run game it just ran over us they just kept coming and got us into overtime we lost a 14 point lead this was Dan Quinn same defense that was handed a 14 point lead on the road in the fourth corner & blew it..

So they still have the same 2 running backs nothing's changed the offensive line is pretty much the same so yeah people still remember that game last year... And they also remember that Dan Quinn's defense is typically not big enough to handle too big very productive running backs that will come at you all day I mean do we not remember it was what 3 weeks ago was it 4 ,that a team just ran it 49 times and beat us down?? Right, that was the Buffalo Bills.. I realize it was a slightly different situation but if they decided to run an offense like that it could shorten the game and it can give us some problems we may still win but this is not gonna be a game if they decide to do that that we're winning going away it's gonna be a dog fight...

We really need the Rams to beat the Lions. It's not absolutely necessary, because I think we can beat the Lions too. But I'd rather we get the winner of the Tampa/Philly game than the 49ers. It's a no brainer.

Green Bay is scary because they have a young gun at quarterback with multiple receivers and a running back that has killed the Cowboys over the years. Last season the Packers defense picked Dak off multiple times and stopped us on a game winning drive. Like it or not they can beat us. They whipped a healthy Detroit team on Thanksgiving.

Yeah, if Aaron Rodgers was on their sideline, I’m sweating bricks. But this team should have no problem with a young Jordan Love in his first playoff game. It’s a disaster if we win by three or less.
