We had no preseason and it showed.

I like Schottenheimer.


Parker scares me. He is looking fraudulent.

I don't dislike Schottenheimer, but he left Parker hanging, last night. He's not a true HC, yet. Unfortunately, the fans will need to wait and see.if he develops.

Something to consider, since CP is new the Giants game plan had to be more about individual players rather than tendencies. The Giants did a great job of sizing up the Cowboys personnel and attacking the weaknesses. This is just smart football.

Players, yes, makes it easier to coach...but, the fact that they were not in position, we consistently lost contain, we're out if position and their footwork was horrible, opening up the hips the wrong way, just little things that coaches need to look for and correct on practice and on the sidelines.

That's not the problem. The defense is brand new with rookies and a rookie DC. In the end... The Giants recovered 3 of their own fumbles and stole an INT or this is a very different outcome on the road in NY against an improved Giants team led by Harbaugh.

So giving up the edge all night and secondary out of position, DTs not containing their gaps and looking downhill had nothing to do with it......ok.

Only time will tell, but right now, I agree with you. He's more involved in bringing in staff than others, but he doesn't know how to manage a staff

Coaching matters
Jerry just can’t grasp this concept
He is still operating under the “any 500 coaches can win the sb” mentality.
He likes weak coaches that will defer to him and he is comfortable with
That’s how we end up with Garrett for 9.5 seasons.
We are doomed until Jerry is gone period

I agree. But I'm going to be fair and give schotty 6 more weeks to show what's he's made of because adversity is staring him dead in the face.

Eberflus had massive communication issues that never got solved and they got rid of him..

Schottenheimer did his job.

On offense. A true HC would have learned, from his experience with Eberflus. I hope he does. He has potential

That’s what happens when you don’t play in the preseason, the first couple of games are like, almost worse than preseason no practice in real time
Giant put the ball on the ground four times
Dropped two interceptions
Didn’t expect it to be that bad,

experience in what? do tell and make the list detailed, than we ll see how silly it looks.

No coach is going to be the same at every team. so many factors. so what would yours need?
