What's wrong with 6-2?

If you thought they would be 7-1 before the season began then you are disappointed but I did not have them at that or 6-2. I think it is just capital they are at 6-2.

That last game was an anomaly until they prove it wasn't with their play this week. Let them have a stinker but at least give them a chance to overcome that before we start hammering everything.

We haven't seen this team with this staff where they are right now and I have seen some good things from them so far and they do have a bounce back QB to lead them.

Still a lot of ball to play and plenty of time to go sour if they continue this but hang in there, don't get down on them because while they were knocked down, they were not knocked out.

Folks, this is your team. Few get through a NFL season without a bad game but what is the most important part of that is how do they respond to that?

We are going to find out more about this team come Sunday than we have in the previous 9 weeks. We were pleasantly surprised in the start of this season, who says we can't get more of that?

To be candid, I dig this more than a team just rolling along. I want to see them get hit in the mouth and see how they respond to that. I like some adversity and drama added to the season.

Who knows? That game might have been a hard slap in the face that they needed because this Sunday, they're not going to be thinking they're all that.

Fear-

Fear that the bronco's game is more of what is to come in the next few weeks.
Fear that this highly talented offense once again gets stymied by average defenses
Fear that after winning 6 straight games and buying into the hype this team falls apart like it has so many times in the past

It is the fear that brings all this negative talk and only the players can shut it down.

You are what your record says you are. That being said means we aren't unbeatable so that leaves room for improvement.

Being as realistic as I can be....

6-2

7-2...beat Falcons
8-2...beat Chiefs
9-2...beat Raiders
9-3...lose to Saints
10-3...beat Waahington
11-3...beat Giants
12-3...beat Washington
13-3...beat Cards.....they have wrapped up all they can
14-3...beat Eagles

I can see a 13-4 before a 15-2 however

Nothing at all CC. My problem lies with the way our team become completely helpless. You have to agree, that was hard to watch. The 16 points was gifted at the end. The bronco took the Cowboys to the woodshed.

If it had been completive I would just take my lumps.

That was complete control and the problem is the Broncos were at about half staff. let that sink in as well.

This is where MM either earns his money or drops the ball while steering the ship.

Has to convey the message that they are good enough to win every week yet stink enough to have to work very hard.

Just check out any game thread. After the first play if they don't score there are people who want to fire the entire coaching staff and trade every player.

Just a Bad Day at Black Rock, they happen. Nothing is a trend until it happens a second time.

I do not see them sweeping the East and that Eagles game is unknown as to if it will even matter to the seeding or if they will already be in draft mode.

If McC has to do that, he's already lost. There should not be one player that needs to be reminded to work hard after that display.

This game on Sunday is all about pride. If any man on that team needs some motivation, he shouldn't be in the game. They should be chomping at the bit to get back out there and these vets know what the rookies don't know. They put an effort like that out there again, it's going to get nasty and they're going to know just how many Cowboys fans are in attendance.

The manner in which they lost that second game is a concern for many

Did the Bucs fans jump ship when they got beaten down by Saints and their 3rd stringer? Just curious..

Or Bill's fans when they get beaten down by Jax?

Cowboys sitting at 6-2 with only 1 team in the NFL with a better record based on loss is not a bad place to be. I have said that sooner or later Cowboys would have a bad game and lose and this would be the result and as always the critics here did not let me down. lol No doubt I am not happy with this loss and sure as hell not happy with the way the team played but it is 1 game and something vast majority of the teams will deal with in a season when things just go bad on that day.

I would like to think they have their fair share of doubters and critics. Hate to think this is just a Cowboys thing. lol

I get that but is that an anomaly or a trend?

Some already have them losing their first playoff game and I am surprised they even had them in the playoffs.

Something was really off with that entire team, wasn't just a few players. I don't think it was overconfidence and a lack of prep but there are the comments about the flat practices.

Not so much an anomaly, I think. Just what happens when our offense can't move the ball.

In constructing the defense, we did two things. Got run role players, and focused our real spend on quickness and pass protection. If we're not playing from a lead, and the opposing offense can pick run or pass as they please, we don't have a lot of *balanced* run/pass defenders, particularly on the dline, and in the middle.

Not a mere coincidence that LVE had one of his better games. He's our most balanced run/pass LB. Meanwhile, Gregory didn't have a big game because he couldn't just pin his ears back and go. Also, weren't they putting him in at DT to rush a lot? Just a bad call there. It's his freakish bend that makes him so effective. But bend is much less useful in the interior.
