What's your anxiety level?

I'd say I am at a 9 but it's more about the ramifications of a bad game by Dak then the Cowboys chances. This Dak vs. Romo thing should have been nipped in the bud long ago but Jerry can't keep his mouth shut. The last thing a rookie who is trying to learn and progress needs, is to be looking over his shoulder at someone else's legacy.

On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being 100% confident we have the #1 seed locked up, and 10 thinking we have a good chance to losing the division to the Giants, where are you guys at?

I'm probably at a 5. I think winning 2 of the next three gives us the 1 seed. However, TB, Det, and Philly are tough tests, and with the way our offense has looked lately, they're not shoo-ins like they used to be. With NYG the pressure shifts to us to come out of our slump and defeat a hot team in TB, and keep it going against Det.

I think we win tonight, beat Det, and lose to Philly. 13-3 and a 1 seed. How we look doing it is another story all together. I'm looking for creativity in regards to play calling from the coaches, and to get Dak into a bit of a flow. Let's get some rhythm going again.
Really?

No anxiety..

maybe a stutter or two..

I mean we have been here so often with this team only to be hoping for next year after we lose..

I will not get too amped up yet.

Maybe if we get to the NFL Championship..then.

that's 5-6 games from now.

My anxiety level is pretty high for tonight, about a 7-8. If we don't bounce back with a solid performance we're in serious trouble.

Agree.

There are a lot of ramifications with a loss tonight, least of which is the quarterback position if Dak struggles. I simply don't understand the whole Dak, Romo thing, it's ultimately about the team but there's a lot of Dak lovers feeling a lot of pressure right now.

But it goes even further. If Dak plays well and we lose then there are serious questions about a playoff run.

I think I'm the opposite. If this team makes it to the NFC title game, I will want to win, but that would be such a tremendous success, anything else is icing. I'll be happy with one playoff victory honestly. This team wasn't supposed to challenge at this level.

The offseason and progress of the young guys is what most excites me.

Yeah Championship games are the worst. The knot in your stomach the whole week is brutal. I even think the Super Bowl is easier because it's almost like house money because you made it - but the Championship games - ugh.

If Dak plays well we won't lose. It's that simple, really. The Buccs are hot but they're not any better or more talented than us. This game will be won or lost at the QB position.

Anxiety level is about a 10.

The Giants have to go on the road and go through both Philly and WSH to win this division as well as see us lose 2-3 games.

And I don't know if I see them doing that.

But ultimately, we just need to get back to playing good football. And we still have our destiny firmly in our control.

I'm not that anxious anymore these days. We haven't did anything in 2 decades and find weid ways to lose and falter so it is what it is these days. As I've gotten older, I don't let my sports teams control my emotions like they used to.

I am not anxious at all. FO decided this teams fate several weeks ago. We have 4 to 5 weeks of cowboys football this year so just going to enjoy it while I can and gear up for next year.

Great post. No looking ahead. Focus on playing good football. That should be the goal.

It's pretty high. Blowing that game last week gave the Giants momentum to a point where we can't afford to slip up again the next 2 weeks or we could be playing all our Playoff games on the road & should have had a bye week wrapped up at the very least.

I used to bang on the floor and even throw things when things weren't going our way. I haven't done that since our championship days. I'd probably hurt myself now. lol
