With a healthy Dez and the addition of Zeus Elliot and Morris.. These are the only changes on Offense that I can think of. You think we could maintain, sink or swim..

He won't. That's why we didn't draft RamsKnee!

End of thread!

Y'all know Romo WILL NOT play all 16 right? I trust a lot of you here. I know you are at the top of the "football smarts" list. We have some of the brightest fans in the country. Don't let me down.

With romo playing every game, 8-8. With Romo sitting out some games, 6-10. Either way, romo is not taking this team into the playoffs. He cant with a defense that stinks. Prediction: A banged-up and aged Romo will retire at the end of the 2016 season to count his money and exult at his personal stats.

Care to make a signature bet that if we have Romo all season we only go 8-8?

If your going to ask a hypothetical question I'm gonna need some more details. How long? What is the difference between"maintain" and "swim?" Who is the backup on the roster; Moore or Prescott?

Maintain .500 sink .000 Swim .750

I think most fans are thinking romo will get hurt and be out again like last year, but
I dont think that will happen.
They do need to protect him better from the gap rushes that are delayed rushes.
That and running more and quick passes to elliot and others will help too.

But here is the thing if you cant protect tony why do you think you can protect
the next QB? they all can get hurt.
The problem is more with protection and offense design than with Tony.

Well for one thing, Romo is injury prone. There are going to be a lot of defenses that are going to try to hit him and hit him hard. His only chance is a good running game. And he does hold the ball too long. It's better to throw the ball away than to take unnecessary hits like he does.

yes but many times he has held the ball too long and thrown winning td passes or made
big plays.
He played most all of 2011,12,13,14 , then has the cb broke again, and now
is injury prone??
look at the other qb's who were out last year, it happens to all of them.

Not too confident. Even with everyone else healthy, Romo is an elite QB. He is a difference maker out there, and there's proof that he can lead us to victory in the 4th, something we struggled to do last year without him.

I say we would swim, depending on the schedule.

I've heard this before. Turned out all right.

ZERO unless they upgrade at the B/U position.

Now you're just trolling
The FO has s plan and they executed it
Do you KNOW that Dak won't develop into a great QB or that Moore can't win us games?
Enough with the negativity

They really didn't.

That guy and his silly shtick is near the top of the list in cluelessness regarding Romo. Absolutely clueless.
And you defend Romo--not say he's the very best, but just lay out facts saying he is very good--he says you have idols of him or whatever.

Depends on how many games. if we are talking 2 or 3 games then I think Cowboys could manage if we are talking 8 or more then keep your fingers crossed.

Im not sure we did enough at QB2 either......

Dak is...I dunno. And Moore is too....

I get it though, these guys get paid and signed quickly....

This is what we could come up with at this point. Dak, and Moore. I suspect there will be somebody cut from somewhere or something that goes on to get us better insurance for the 3-4 games Romo will most likely miss.... If he misses more then 4/5 games.....then, were done. And Romo has got to be fresh for any playoff run that may happen....

Remember, we have an easier schedule this year. We may be able to pull a few games without Romo...

Personally, I feel that we could've won a couple more games last season if we played better situational football. With a healthy Zeke and Dez, I feel we can play better situational football.

Say what you will about Moore but he did something last year and that Cassell or Weeden could not and that was feed the ball to our wide receivers. Say Moore comes in, makes some mistakes but he feeds the ball to Dez early and often coupled with a successful running game, we can win some games.

Usually football games are settled by only a couple plays, a healthy Dez and a game breaking running game can win those couple plays.

Maybe, provided the other team didn't change their entire approach.

You don't need to score a lot if you're confident the other team cannot score at all. Play conservative as all hell, wait for your opponent to make mistakes, and take a home a victory that was a lot more comfortable than the final score would lead you to believe.

Dez us useless without a good QB.

Or a OC/HC without the necessary innovation in running a modern passing offense;) "What do you mean the deep comeback didn't work while double teamed? Execution, execution, yada yada". He was hurt last year and see what the others were "schemed" to do for the backup QBs, etc. 1 win. We don't have a legitimate HC...enabled by JJ/SJ. Even JJ called out JG on his lack of innovation last season.

It depends on how many games Romo sits out. Without the games played, I count each game without Romo a loss based on how effective the team was last season without Romo.

Moore only had a few weeks with our offense. It does take a while to develop that chemistry, etc. He also didn't have Dez at all. Not saying that he will be great or anything like that. I just think with a few other factors he could improve. At least he tries to throw to receivers instead of checking down everything.
