How far rap has come. I remember the originals and how Run DMC was "breaking the mold" with Rock Box...

Lyric delivery has evolved into a true art form and I love it. Sometimes it's truly sublime. Not this time... lol, but I'm not degrading this one either, I think it's strong.

What turns me off about most rap now is the excessive vulgarity,and degrading women.
At least the old school ones got some talents like the Sugarhill Gang, RunDMC and Public Enemy ,even the Fat Boys to a degree.

I seem to remember invading a bonfire party, years upon years ago, on someone's property on Lake Travis with my friend JP...
It was a wakeboarder's party. We had booze, but he wanted some beer, so we stopped at the only gas station around. He waltzed in, grabbed a case and hit the counter.
The guy asked him for his ID and he laughs...
"Good job!" he says. "I'm Detective Crockett... this here's Sonny. We're making random checks on stores that we heard were selling to minors. Good job."


"Your ID, sir?"

JP walks out. I'm looking at the clerk and say "I have an ID..."
He goes - "You get your *** out of here, Sonny. That guy is going to get you killed."

JP is still my Brother til the day one of us dies and I can't believe he's still alive. That guy is too cray to live, too rare to die.

I'm looking forward to him coming down here in 3 weeks (which will probably be 2 and a half weeks) and spending some time again with us.
His insanity meshes well with mine.

I think that was Chris Gaines, or something like that. This guy is a completely different animal. Actually did a fairly good version of Wish you were here by Pink Floyd though:

Ya,I've already cut sign concercerning that done hung shingle infringement,,, hell,I think he'd even posted about it,,,,I really truly did enjoy his company ( other than the sometimes clinging of that puttyness zen that would sometimes come thru while he'd git' knee deep in his cups,,,,,,,yet in that same veined vernacular that ol' puttyness of zen don't even drink,,,which,I'd reckon ,,,really make a somewhat reasonable person to give pause of wonderment about all of that,huh?
