Casual Party - Band of Horses

Destruction - Joywave

Holy Dove - Civil Twilight

And can't stop listening to Breaker - Deerhunter.

Did you pick up Brandon Flower's solo album? I don't get it, sounds just like The Killers because he is The Killers. Same with Brian Fallon and Gaslight Anthem.

I think John Mellencamp should pull a switcheroo and start a band without his name.

I see a few heavy metal bands/songs posted, i am not into heavy metal all that much(i do like some of it). I do love AC/DC during the Bon Scott (not heavy metal in my book) era. Another band that i love is The Cult (also not heavy metal in my book), Ian Astbury was awesome in his prime. I wish i saw both these bands live in their prime.

I consider ACDC with Bon Scott the 4th greatest band of all time.

My favorite 80's song done in monks chanting (Gregorian) style. So beautiful.

Londonboy posted this on another forum, but I had to share it here because it cracks me up every time I hear it (it's a wonderful parody of metal):

nice picks
the cult underated band, like their sound
AC/DC the best in what they do. i always say Back in Black was so good because of the legacy of Bon Scott

I think AC/DC picked up the 2nd best singer they could get but there's nothing like Bon Scott.

Just like the good old days, guys. *sniffs* No, I'm not crying. You're the one crying. That is where those tears are coming from.

What song should I use to start this thread with? Gosh, trying to recreate the legendary, 1000000000 zillion page thread that was all so celebrated back at the ole homestead? There are so many good choices. So many good bands.

No. No. There can only be one correct band. And we all know who they are.
