So I finally listened to the new Taylor Swift record. I love Taylor Swift but the new album is mid as hell.

Jack Antonoff's production is all over this thing, and it's just not working out this time. A lot of the beats sound like some left overs from Lorde's 2017 album Melodrama, which he also produced.

Other songs are heavily influenced by Lana Del Rey (who is featured on the track Snow On The Beach) in a noticeable way. It sounds like Taylor Swift heard a song off of Lana's 2019 album Norman ******* Rockwell and thought to herself "I want to make an album like that", and in some songs she did, but it's not nearly as good, or fun.
