I enjoy a lot of different types of music but trance (and techno before that) has always been at the top for me.

Same here. I have a very diverse range of taste and I am thankful for it. Sweet, I don't find many trance fans so I look forward to hopefully bouncing some tracks off each other from time to time throughout the thread.

A gorgeous band. A band of psychedelia, synth, world music, genre mashups, and Panda Bear at the helm. Heres a choice song from Animal Collective:

Love this band. I'm trying to find my Tim Hecker album where he uses grunts from pigs. It might not be Hecker. Anyways, Modest Mouse is fantastic and feel-good. Accessible.

Want a catchy one? Here:

Just a total early 90s vibe released on this fantastic 2000 album (all songs from same album in this post, The Moon & Antarctica, an essential album in your collection):

SKRILLEX <skakes nervously>

just kidding, im one of the few not on his jock, but this track is insane. he isn't dub step anything. Dub step fans debate me, let's go! :) Burial buries him in the genre, but this lone track is greatness

My last song and someone else can take over. Sorry for flooding it, fellas. I'm gonna leave a song from my favorite band, a song that reminds me of my mom, Kristi, and is just beautiful in it's simplicity and composition. Wish I could ever find the Anthology version (very, very acoustic), but so it goes.

Awesome!! just a great song.

Reality, jamming to this right now! I imagine you with like four monitors open coding and making websites, jacked on Red Bull, blazing this high octane awesomeness with some Sennheisers on :) Okay, at 4:35, after the downbeat -- wow! Yup!!!

I can relate to the "concrete jungle" line. This song is perfect for a stroll down downtown LA! :) Some of my best music moments are when I stroll down 7th street to the red line subway on my way wherever, with headphones on. Usually with Terje, Deacon, Pet Shop Boys. All up-tempo.

These guys are great! Thanks!

Hey @maxdogg

can you post that vid of Skynyrd pre-crash that featured them all on stage at some festival (maybe Woodstock, but I don't think it was that), where there's 100k fans grouped together like sardines and the band just goes wild on stage. I think the song is Simple Man. I know its not That Smell, and I don't believe it's Free Bird, etc etc, but the video is skin-chilling amazing, and you've posted it before. So has Kim. Thanks in advance, my brother.

I think it was this ?

Let me see. Playing. Thanks, Max. I think I was wrong and you're right. It just started. Gosh this is amazing. Every time. The fans are just glad to have a 3x3 spot to plump into. this is real hippy and rock and roll. and the babes, man. the babes. I've been to Coachella twice, it isn't this good or authentic

Best 70s rock band for me after Zep.

Man. These guys.

Max, I just watched it and that isn't the one. It's the one where Collins goes on the stage alone, to the front of the stage near the fans, and Powell has his own solo. Does it ring a bell?

Edit -- watched the second. It's still not the daggon vid in my brain. Still, thank you my brother. I forgot for a few months how much I love me some Skynyrd. I've had some "hell or high water" times of my life with Skynyrd as the soundtrack. Love everything about them. Pre-crash, a GOAT rock n roll band. they did so much with music, and live, and changed the game for bands coming from the South
