Whats your floor/ceiling for Mazi Smith?

My floor I'm looking at Derek Nnadi. Solid run defender, but a 40% of defensive snaps kind of guy.

Ceiling? Im looking at Dalvin Tomlinson. Payne gets mentioned, but I think Tomlinson is a more accurate ceiling. Tomlinson is a guy that is a brickhouse against the run, and while not a "pass rusher" he is a key player on the defensive line in the passing. I dont know that Smith can be the finisher Payne has become

Funny, I kinda see Tomlinson as his floor and Payne as his unlikely ceiling.

I think we got a solid talent at NT finally. I’ll leave it up to Quinn to figure him out. He’ll look good in that #58 though.

if you want to know the floor halfway from the basement to the 1st floor. and if he has another gun charge like in october maybe the sub- basement. because unlike kelvin joesph he can't play special teams and hide there

Smith is a lot more athletic than Tomlinson. Has a much higher ceiling. Easily the most talented DL this team has had in forever. Folks may not like the pick, but we need for him to be what he is capable of being.

I think that there is a possibility he never develops as a 3 down player. If he doesnt, I think he is a similar player to what Nnadi has been. A guy that gives you good run defense, but you are pulling
