What's your off-the-wall idea you think could work, but you know almost no one else does?

I'll start.

Trey Lance's high school coach said in an on camera interview once that he believed TL would thrive best in a RB role.

So, you know where I'm going with that.

Go to Oxnard, and give TL a legit shot at earning RB1.

There. I said it. :D

7th rd pick Rogers and Mazi team up to stuff the run on short yardage plays.

Tyler Smith Cooper Beebe and Zack Martin blow open holes right up the middle causing Zeke to overage 4.3 yards per carry.

Brandon Cooks with a year under his belt and familiarity with Dak becomes a dangerous no 2.

Payton Hendershot becomes a nightmare for lb’s and safety’s.

Deuce Vaughn becomes the juice in the 4th quarter after Zeke and the online tenderize the opposing defense.

Kneeland and Dlaw become the best run stopping DE’s in the league.

Steele and Schoonmaker fully healed and creating massive running lanes on the right hand side.

A few hopes and dreams.

So what are you gonna do with that 2nd round tight end that they drafted last year?

My crazy off the wall strategy is to sign a RB with actual potential to stress opposing defenses.

I know, I'm a mad man.

Too tall. Maybe a WR. Or could he add 30 lbs and become a pass rush specialist?

Develop a 2 TE passing game, so when Schoonmaker is on the field the entire world does not automatically know it is a run play.

My oline opinion already differs from everybody. I go Tyler Smith at LT, then Bass, Beebe, Martin and Steele.

Then, although I have little to no confidence that the Solari, Schott and McFraud trio could accomplish it, I go with a power running game and select play action passing when the opportunity arises.

Like the 2016 offense.

Hopefully the new draftees olinemen can be coached up to a point where a missing starter won't prove catastrophic with the new faces we've gained.

But again, I'm not a believer in Solari so both fingers and toes are crossed on this.

In summary,
Let's do what McFraud said we were gonna do last year and failed.
"Run the damn ball and rest the defense."

Well, you said off the wall and that's bout what I got. And don't ask me about the 2024 version of Zeke trying to be like the 2016 version.
You said off the wall. More like a dream at this point, I know. LOL

Maybe they learned new things this offseason??
Took Mike 2 years to start looking at the offense. Took him 5 games to begin making adjustments because they couldn't get things going. I don't trust mikes ability or desire to do the work required. He thought this was an easy gig cause Kellen had things looking good on paper.
