When 7-3 did we really think that we would need help getting into playoffs?

Poor execution all around.

Coaching.
Offense.
Defense.
Special Teams.

Where has the $$$ for Parcells paid off?

No, but we also didn't think that we would lose Flo. That was a huge loss.We can't protect both tackles and still throw the ball as well. Parcells is the least of our worries.I do believe that we should of had better depth on the o-line though.

I hear ya... but we didnt play that much better with Flo in there... I remember many complaining about the "Flo and Larry" Show(non-show that is)

When we were 7-3, my predictions were this

DEN- L
@NYG- W
KC- W
@WSH- W
@CAR- L
STL-W

and finish off 11-5, but we were wrong, we have been playing bad and since Denver, we have lost 3 of our last 4 games, that is including the denver loss. We are on the verge of losing 4 of our last 5 if we drop another one to CAR, We just havent benn on the top of our game, hopefully we get back on track on saturday

GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep

At 7-3 im not going to lie, I was all ready figuring out which of my friends and relatives pad I was going to hang out at and watch the playoffs.

Now they will reserving their pad for when the Mavericks reach the playoffs.

But of course this is Dallas, Mavs will always play second fiddle

What that did though is still give us the luxury of using 3 wrs and 1 te (to help out Petitti).Now we have to use both te's to help block,which only give us 2 wr going against 4 db's along with the lb's. You see were that gets us,Bledsoe on his back cause he has to wait forever for them to get open.If we go with 3wr's and Witten as a receiver then Bledsoe doesn't stand a chance due to the rush/blitz.

At 7-3 we were going into a pretty rough stretch in our schedule. Either way, we knew this team was not going to be rebuilt in one off season. I hate to say next year, but next year!!!

Rough schedule indeed. But we were more optimistic that the results turned in

Yeah-going from 7-3 to a late season collapse(especially if your coach has a BLAZING Dec record) is *very* sickening.

Yeah-we have a ton of injuries(3 of our injured players were our Team Captains, which hurt quite a bit). However-our significant blow ultimately came from the coaching staff, IMHO. Not only their game-planning is poor, but their motivation on the players have been worse.

Speaking of injuries-the Pats have pulled a late run despite 6 DBs on IR. Lad Thomlinson is playing with very sore ribs, but somehow the Bolts ran up major yardage on a very good Colts D to keep their playoff hopes alive. Big Ben is playing with a broken thumb(and their OL is more dinged than our's), but the Steelers just put themselves in the driver's seat for a playoff spot.

Yeah-no excuses at all.

Other than the Colts name me three other teams in the NFL right now that would definitely win two road games in NY and DC, plus a tough game against the Broncos?

We lost, but we lost to some good teams still hunting for the playoffs.

The fact that we came out in those 2 crucial division road games with NO emotion, fire, guts, and heart was really alarming. No-I didn't think they were easy games either. But at the same time, it looked like the Cowboys didn't think they were important games either.

My friend, we lost to those "good teams" by losing the game ourselves... not getting beat by them. There is a difference.

I find no solace because they were "good teams"

Yep.

Bottom line...

We beat the Broncos(playing to 100% of the country), we move into that "elite" status.

We beat the Gints, we move into the NFC East lead.

We beat the Skins, we control our own destiny for a playoff spot.

We were seven and three post-Adams.

I fail to understand why everyone keeps looking at the Adams injury as the end of our season.

It wasn't. We have made more than enough ignorant mistakes up and down the line to transcend that.

What is so utterly revolting is that despite this injury, we still could have salted a playoff berth away by now.

Obviously you believe there should be a separate column in the standings for "moral" victories.
