When did it really all start to go sour?

My personal opinion
Even though I wanted to draft the individual
Micah Parsons .
. Like him, dislike him, on the edge about him.
This is when the team started to go backwards. We’ve started to play like individuals and not a team. And individuals don’t win.
, Trade him or keep him
when Jerry ran Jimmy out of town.

It really depends on the definition of "all".

Jerry started dumping players after the 94 season to sign Deion. Dumped a bunch more in 95. That depth on D was our biggest strength, and Jerry dumped it. Jerry had no idea why we went downhill.

And now? This happens every time we get a decent team together. Jerry starts making terrible draft picks and trades that kill our team. He rolls up in the fetal position come draft day and shoots the picks out his bum. Worst GM in football.

When Jimmy left.
This! And once the talent/dynasty Jimmy assembled got old and left in free agency, Jerry was left to his own devices after the last Super Bowl win almost 30 years ago. Imagine three decades of being completely irrelevant in the playoffs. We used to be one of the top three elite franchises and then Jerry was left to his own devices. And the NFL proved they really don't care if one of their owners decides to strangle to death their own team courtesy of incompetence coupled with a big dose of hubris & nepotism.
