I approve. This is how a true fan responds. Was born in 63 so I guess 62!!
The mental aspect is real too. Some of the videos of men with shell-shock from WW1 is horrifyingOne factor is that advances in medical care now keep people alive who would have otherwise died from their injuries, as well as helping those people live longer lives.
Thanks for sharing honesty on those issues. When I retired, they told me I could get disability for a broken ankle and a broken toe I suffered during training. My ankle and broken toe have healed nicely and in no way a disability. They said I could still file. They also said if you’ve ever had hemoroids, that’s another few %. I know vets with 70, 80% disability out playing golf. There’s a lot of guys who try and take advantage of the system and get away with it. There’s needs to be a bit more oversight on who qualifies and who doesn’t. Lots of folks deserve and need that disability to survive. Then there’s the others.
