When do we hear about PS & waiver claims?

Teams can put in waiver claims until noon EST tomorrow. At 1 p.m. EST, the league will tell the team which players were claimed, and teams can begin signing practice squad players.

We'll find out sometime after that.

I am sure they already contacted players they are interested in. Telling them if they are not claimed, they want them on the PS.
Probably will start getting names in around 2:00 tomorrow.

Agents tend to get the word out pretty quick that they have clients who have just agreed to join NFL practice squads.

CLE gets first dibs on everyone that was waived

Vested Vets are immediate FAs and can sign with anyone

Do you know if the Waiver claims are public knowledge or do they keep that confidential?

Note that we waived a couple of vested vets in Thompson and Jeron Johnson.

I'm betting we've got deals with them to come back after we put some guys on IR (hopefully not Fred)
They might wait until after game 1 on a guy like Thompson to avoid the guaranteed salary.

I here that all the time but never see us do it.

We've already paid him 1 mill and his salary is basically minimum after that.

Are waiver claims similar to how they are in fantasy football?
If the Browns put in multiple claims, do they get their first priority then go to the bottom of the waiver order then for the others?

They did it a fair number of times several years ago but yes recently they have not done it much.

They get first priority on EVERY player.

Just like we are 19th regardless of the amount of claims we put in

Nope, but thats how it should be. Complete ********

No, teams stay in position, Browns have first priority on everyone and could claim 30 guys, if they were willing to cut 30 guys to open up roster spots.

They announce the players who got claimed. They don't announce all of the claims put in (ie., if the Cowboys tried to claim someone but he got claimed by a team ahead of them, we wouldn't find out unless some reporter has a source that tells them).
