Man, we finally tighened up at DT. I'm not sure why you'd want to get cute with it now? And who did you want to bench and why? Thomas? He's been great as a rotational guy with limited reps. Makes plays.

They activated him off IR because Solomon Thomas was injured and questionable. Thomas played so he wasn't needed. If one of Q Will, Osa, or Thomas miss he'll get a shot!
Until then his main value is being under contract for next season and being the 4th 3tech or 5tech if they go to a 34 and allowing them to focus on ther positions that aren't as well stocked

It is not a rumor. He has returned from IR.

Clowney might miss the Detroit game.

This is true, mostly because he can play any position on the line..

To be honest it might be soon. The Cowboys are playing a lot of 3-DT fronts now (which is essentially their version of the 3-4, but that's another story).

With Clowney a little banged up I could see a role for Winfrey as a base, run-stuffing end in that five man front. At 6'4, 290 he's not a gigantic DT but he can be a Greg Ellis-like end for fans who remember him.

There is no place for him on teh game day roster unless there is an injury. It's not a knock on him, it's just a numbers game
