I was getting the distinct feeling that Wade was going to get him a little bit involved in the mix at WR assuming Stanback could hold down the KR job (so he would be on the active day roster).
I guess Stanback's shoulder put him back a little bit, but it appears he is close to 100% now. Well, at least he's fully participating in practice.
I think we'll see something in the next couple of weeks.

I don't think true impact will be known until next season after getting a full off-season, training camp and pre-season to understand the position of WR and learning the offense.

Doomsday101;1779275 said:He is a rookie who missed most of camp I don't expect all rookies to come in and be instant success. Dallas liked what they saw in him and he will get his opportunity be it later this season or next. How he will do is anyone’s guess but the kid has talent and it is up to the coaching staff to try and get the most out of that talent. Your agenda really gets old around here.

Yup, same here.lspain1;1779476 said:I remain convinced we will see more of Stanback this season, and we will see him at the WR position (this is all predicated on him not getting injured) on occasion.
joseephuss;1779607 said:He is a project. I did not expect him to see the field at all this season in any capacity, so he has already surpassed my expectations. Now my expectations have changed and I expect to see Stanback returning kicks again at some point this season.

He needs to get on the field and show us what he can do.

joseephuss;1779706 said:Who said he was drafted only as a kick returner? He was drafted to be a project as a wide receiver. Being a returner is the bonus and even then was somewhat of a project at that as well because he did not do it often in college. Of course he had to also rehab from his pre-existing injury first. An injury that everyone, especially the Cowboys coaches and management knew about and content to live with when they drafted him.
He needs to show the coaches what he can do and I have a feeling he has already done that. That is why he hit the field as a return man already this year and only an injury has prevented him from continuing in that roll. It is amazing that you don't understand the concept of injuries. You seem to ignore them when you discuss Henry as well.
