Just wondering , if we lose tonite and gints and iggles wiin this week end, will JJ fire Wade.

Or will he wait for the last game.

On the other hand if that scenario happens , aren't we mathematically still alive.

What would be the point in firing a coach with 3 weeks left??? Wade will coach out the year and if we dont make the playoffs, Wade will probably be fired the first week of the postseason.

if there is someone out there on the shortlist waiting could be chancy.

not really...anybody out there worth a damn Jones could easily call directly or indirectly and let them know something might be going down here...case in point is Shanahan, who'd be foolish to just jump all over the Wash job now rather than wait a couple of weeks, because a bidding war could begin. Even if he prefers Wash to Dallas, he'd get more $$$ if he waits.

There's no hurry.

Exactly.

Wade will be let go on the Monday after the season ends.

And it looks like Shanahan is perhaps showing some patience, and will wait to see what happens with some of the other teams, including Dallas. Maybe Jerry got a message to him.

Washinton Times had a blurb today that said the report of Shanahan at Commanders offices yesterday was retracted by the source.

Why would JJ have to fire him when he is in the last year of a three year deal?

Come on folks, pay attention. JJ doesn't have to do anything but say Thanks for nothing!

:bow:that's very true. I guess the question should be, when does JJ say good bye and thanx to Wade.

I would do it now, and give the Job to Garrett, there is no way he can pull these off and have the team make the playoffs and win a game...

This way both guys are gone...

Apparently a year too late. Another wasted season!!:bang2:

The question is when does he fire HIMSELF - another puppet NFL retread coach will not fix the organizational rot of this team. Until we get a coach in actual charge of the team, able to create a cohesive coaching unit that answers to him and his goals, and not the gloryhounding owner/GM, will you see this team maximize it's ability.

Jerry has already gone on record that he will make such decisions at the end of the year.

Yeah, no way he does anything until January.

He won't be fired till January after the final regular season game. Unless we somehow make the playoffs then it would be sometime right after whatever the last game we lose is.

Unless of course Wade pulled off some sort of miracle and won a Superbowl. Then, and only then, would he save his job.

These threads are getting plumb ridiculous... What in hell has Jason Garrett done this year that shows he would be a good head coach? He hasn't even handled the offense well, now folks want him running the whole team? Who is going to coach our D? Someone please make this stuff stop!
