When Does the Season Start?

For some the season starts the moment of kickoff, 7:30 Sunday Night, when the Cowboys commence pummeling of the New York Nasties.

For some the season starts when the NFL formally launches the 2017 season with a Thursday night game between the Chiefs and Patriots.

For me the season starts now. Football = A game on the schedule for the upcoming weekend. Do we gotta game? Yeah, we gotta game.

Preseason is over. Roster decisions complete. Now we dial in on our opponent. For me...the season is on...now.

In going 13-3 last year we didn't mop up all the dirt. Missed a few spots. That oversight left the G-men mistaken about their relevance in the grand scheme. It's time to clean that up.

Ah...I had tempered expectations for free agency. And my enthusiasm for preseason games (scrimmages) has waned with the years.

But I'm in the best shape of my fan-life now. I'm not making the same mental mistakes as I've made in past years. I know my assignments...the game has slowed down for me. I can better read and react to the ball.....game. With my preparation and conditioning...I just let my God-given instincts take over.

My rocker-recliner is in football shape and I'm poised for success.

As poor as our pass rush was last year we didn't let the Giants offense do much last year, averaging 15 points in those 2 games.
