When does Weeden get released?

It would have happened earlier in the day, but they are trying to find a single area where Cassel wasn't worse to justify it in the press release. The search is expected to last a while.

Yeah, I have no love for either Weeden, but its not like Cassell did anything. He had 2 games where the offense scored no TD's. He sucked as bad as Weeden.

I hope your right, I really do. But I don't see them doing it. I think they keep him, they have to pay him regardless and he is cheap. I think Garrett is to loyal to him to cut him knowing he won't play again. He will let him ride out the year. With Lee back, I think Smith will be sent packing again. But I hope you are correct.

I don't see him being released.

We have no idea if Romo will last the season.

Beyond Cassel..we have no QB who knows the offense.

I would expect a big shakeup after the season, though.

Including draft a QB early to get somebody in the pipeline.

When they benched Weeden for Matt I thought cutting him was soooo needed. Now it's just meh for me. The problem is much larger than Weeden.

No didn't enjoy that but I don't think it was Matt's fault either. Guess they just needed to battle more.

I dont think either QB is purely at fault, the cowboys just built the game plans poorly for both qbs. They told Weeden to play too conservative, they told cassel to be a gunslinger and called bad plays... When that didnt work they called more dumb plays.... I never imagined we would lose all 7 games, worst case I saw 2 and 5

30 seconds after game 16, along with a few other stiffs.

The more I think about it the more I realize that this offense and maybe the whole team runs on broken plays. The regular play falls apart, Romo works his magic and breaks the defense back with some school yard play that goes for big yardage. This is probably why all other qbs suck in this system.

Weeden has played much better than the chicken-armed Cassel, who can't even win a game with Dez Bryant in the lineup. Weeden had no one to throw to downfield and they blame him for dinks and dunks. The Cowboys would have won some games if Weeden had Dez Bryant to throw to. Just compare the QB ratings between Weeden and Cassel. Weeden blows away Matt "The Noodle Arm" Cassel.

Any poster on here who thinks Cassel is better than Weeden knows NOTHING about football.
