When is the cap penalty hearing?

Unless it's been changed, think it is May 10.

I want to hear the NFL's explanation as to how the Cowboys and Skins violated the cap in an UNCAPPED year.

IF it were to go to real court the NFL would lose. They know this. And they have to be worried that Danny Boy would take the Nuclear option even if Jerruh would not. If the arbitrator would rule totally against us I think it is at least a 50/50 thing that Danny Boy goes to court. No way does the NFL want this. They know they stepped on their tender parts badly; letting Mara pull this crap ( I have heard he is a lot less popular with the other owners now). So a deal would make sense for both sides.

By Mark Maske
An arbitrator is scheduled to hear arguments Thursday in the challenge by the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys to salary cap reductions imposed on them by the NFL in March

Not sure why that would be the case if it has anything to do with this. All those other owners approved this as well.

Did they? I thought one of the criticisms was that it didn't go to a vote, thus it didn't go through proper channels. I know the NFLPA went along with it, but I remember reading that the owners didn't vote on it, and the matter didn't get the 75% approval it should have gotten.

The owners covered their tails and approved the sanction 29 for it 1 abstention. Dallas and Washington either weren't allowed to vote or voted against it.

They may have been mislead by another owner or simply known and figured what the hell, Dallas and Washington might get this overturned but it will cost them in the meantime. IE free agency and which also could affect the draft.
