When Jerry is gone, they will take fewer risks?

Exactly, unless you want to call the slew of reaches in the second round of the draft 'risk'.
I think we took a risk asking Mazi to lose 30 lbs.

Trance was a risk.

Being a risk taker and being stupid are very different things.
But they can be combined. There's such a thing as a stupid risk taker, and there's such a thing as a smart calculated risk taker. The latter is what might work.

i do not under stand why jerry have a reputaton of being this big risk taker

he is the most boring guy ever

never fire a head coach even when they diserve it, never spend big in free agency, make some trade but not a ton,

all jerry and cowboys do is draft and re sign their own guy

that is fine but jerry is not even close to a risk taker he is the opposite
In recent years yes but Jerry has taken the big risks. Some worked others hurt. Dion, Haley, 3 times on recievers and church. All were high risk trades and only a couple really worked out and that’s why he’s became less risk adverse to me. Trading off first round picks are a big risk move because of the cap implications

The last time Jerry took any kind of risk was having that affair after their '96 SB win... 29 years and counting, bad karma. And we thought it was Jimmy's firing. Ground hog day as history keeps repeating itself.

As for football related, there is a big difference between a calculated risk which many good GMs do, and a flying by the seat of your pants or riding a motorcycle without a helmet risk, which Jerry is so familiar with and don't know any better. Don't have enough fingers and toes to count them all.

Jerry tried to take a risk with Manziel. But Stephen stopped him.

Aren't you all glad to have had Stephen at that point.

Too bad he could not stop the Roy Williams trade.

GM Jeruh took a lot of risk last year by not investing in our OLine.

Things are going to be far worse once Stephen takes over. I think we're already seeing this in his reluctance to improve the roster by avoiding the top FA's.
You hate this team so much it begs the question, “Why are you here?” That goes for the rest of you haters.

Definitely, they can take calculated risks. We’ll see if that’s the case, but Jerry wasn’t smart or calculated at all. His risks were usually because he screwed up and had to offset that somehow.
