But these players don't mean it, it's to get their attention, you can't get it another way???
Well, fans and public relations run the whole business. Publicly outting discord between the player and the teams will create pressure on the business model. Just as you’re agitated enough to create this post about it, people are negatively affected when a player does this, and the team can’t like that.

Every time I can think of that a player did it, it worked right into their favor. Whether it’s Deebo Samuel getting his deal in training camp last year when SF indicated they wouldn’t give him one, or AJ brown getting traded to his BFF’s team… it’s tens of millions of dollars that’s being bickered over. 2 weeks of social media turmoil is a small price to pay.

There’s now a precedence to keep doing it, because it works great

IT'S NOT ABOUT DELETING their accounts, it's about negotiating tactics!!
I read and understood your comment and said I don't care. This isn't new it's been going on for years and is talked about all over SM and sports boards constantly. Who cares?

THEN, I went on to say I hope they delete all their accounts so they don't say stupid things. I'm not sure why that confused you. It's two separate thoughts.

Most of these players have a favorite team and players they grew up watching. Once they enter the NFL they see it as a business. Playing for their favorite team would be a plus but they will play where they get paid the most. They let the agent negotiate and don’t get very involved. I do have a problem with agents telling players to hold out on getting surgeries needed to have the player 100% ready by beginning of new season. Or holding out 2 years early on your existing contract. That’s in poor taste and dirty pool. But the player don’t have to agree to it I guess but most listen to the agent.

Who cares what they do with their SM accounts. I'm for all of them deleting their accounts so they don't say stupid crap that they can't take back
I agree I sort of hope that Social Media itself will self delete.

Players seldom do it, if at all, early in negotiations, but if the team is dragging it's feet or nothing is happening, that's usually when the player does it.
