When Rolando McClain can be considered normal on your defense you got characters

I'd say that McClain went from the biggest headache on March1 to potentially just another guy with Gregory and Hardy on the team. Throw in Scandrick/Dez's penchant for crazy and D-Law had some in college and Calvin Hill has his hands full this year.

Most people subscribe to you want 1 or 2 max crazies on your team so you have an edge. This team has a legitimate 4 (Dez, Ro, Hardy, Gregory) and then guys like Scandrick who randomly fail a drug test. Jerry needs to either pick fewer nuts or pay for more psychologists. This season is going to be as entertaining as T.O.s last year from a media standpoint.

Fill up the roster with plenty of RKGs, and that gives you the tools to take on a few projects.:)

We have some characters on hand.

But seriously? Lumping Dez and Scandrick in?

The ***?

Im not sure how or why, but every time **** hits the fan in Dallas, some of it seems to stick to Dez Bryant. He is fully out from under his baby sitter now. Let's see how that goes.

I think this is a silly criticism. What exactly is wrong with Scandrick or Dez? Because they want to win? They yell? And now we're putting that tag on Demarcus Lawrence? Please. There's only one true headache on this roster and its that nutcase Greg Hardy. No one even compares in that regard.

Gregory smoked some weed......hardly anything to question his character over. Well, the timing you can. To do it on or around the Combine is by far the dumbest thing I believe you can do as a professional NFL player.

Dez has not been nearly the headache we were led to believe he was suppose to be. He had his incident with his mother but aside from that there's been nothing to come to light if there has been something.

He had the incident with his mother. The sideline issues. This mess with his agent. The Walmart episode (though he didn't wind up being involved, his circle was). All of this was while he was under lock and key.

I'm not saying he is a bad guy, or even crazy. He is definitely no boy scout though.

Let's not forget Randle who starts jumpin up and down in police cells throwing his teammates under the bus. I think the reason Dez has been good is he's had good examples to look up to. Having negative influences can cause guys to slack in maintaining professionalism on and off the field and there's starting to become more and more.

The media tries to make it stick to Dez, but for the most part it never does. Most of it is a fabricated witch hunt to sell ratings

Generally speaking, where there is smoke, there is fire. He is an emotional and volatile guy. He is an easy target. It's not all his fault, but like I said, he definitely isn't a boyscout either.

Didn't we once have Alonzo Spellman and Demetrius Underwood on the roster at the same time? Now, those guys had real issues...

Aside from the incident with his mother, that other stuff is nothing out of the ordinary. IT happens with most guys in this league but it doesn't get the headline a Cowboy or a Dez Bryant does.

I just don't see him as a headache. What sideline issues btw?

Even what Randle has done is juvenile to me. Silly? Yes. I just think Hardy is in a league of his own. Randle if anything seems to be a bit clueless and immature if anything.

The sideline issues stopped being an issue once we could hear what he said. He wasn't criticizing teammates or the like at all.

The 'mess' with his agent was him changing his representation and David Wells creating a huge stink with no substance. He has done nothing wrong as he has pointed out himself. OMG he had 10 people over!

The Walmart episode was unsubstantiated garbage from someone who was trying to extort money out of him. He called the bluff and no video was shown.

He left the field of play early... It happened. Big deal now? Not really. It happened though.

Like I already said, **** sticks to him. I didn't say he starts it or earns it. He may not belong in the Hardy and Gregory category, but the guy isn't without issues--whether or not they eventually went away.

As far as the Walmart incident, wasn't a police report filed stating a vehicle of his (not that he drove it) was in the lot? Genuine question. Thought I read that.

Issues with no substance are not issues. And it only 'sticks' because people don't care about details. It still is what it is despite public perception. This may come as a shock but what we fans think is almost entirely immaterial to the reality of what went on and what he will do.

As fans on a message board, all we have to discuss is what we as fans think/see/hear/read. There is nothing more to it.

Issues with no substance are still issues, because until they go away, they cause distractions.

I love Dez Bryant. I love his passion and his fire. He was my player that draft and I was excited we got him and have never regretted that excitement. The guy is no boyscout though. He seems to have turned a corner, so maybe he's past all that stuff. He definitely had some maturity and character issues though coming in and and they followed him for a bit.

Wichita was more than immaturity.
