.......than its Lance time. We know who CR is but Lance was wasted 4th in Manys eyes but an extended live game look like let him play the last 5 start to finish barring injury would like to see what he looks like.. why not we have seen a few Qbs come back late ie Geno smith, Sam Darnold, and Baker...

stranger things have happened, maybe lance stays for cheaper deal here a prove it ie new deal laced with escalators things he has do do to earn most of the contract with less guarantees. Be the 2 here going forward.???
Stranger things have not happened. Perhaps if Bigfoot turned out to be real, that would be a stranger thing.

blueblood70......much love. Enjoy the game and let's see the game and season play out. Hope Cooper and Rico do well.
I appreciate it we don't agree on everything and I do want Rico and Cooper to do well I'm not a hater I'm not worried about will they make one of our other players look bad or this answers questions blah blah blah I want the Cowboys to win period end of story but I'm telling you if our coaching staff would have done a better job from day one we wouldn't be having this conversation Rico dowdell is underutilized and underappreciated he may not be a top notch starter but I'm telling you he has everything to offer that Kareem hunts is on an undefeated team and they give him the ball 20 * a game that's the difference our coaches had no plan and no identity the first eight games of the season but when you watch all the best games our run games of the season if you gave him the ball 20 times we're not expecting big time production but if you can get something near 4 yards per carry and you wear down a defense and you keep your offense from being one-dimensional we be fine losing Tony Pollard which by the way he's on a team that's also losing right now he never helped us in the playoffs he never had a big time game and a big time moment when we really needed it he was under 3 yards per carry no San Francisco playoff games I'm telling you you're overrating the guy I like him but not for six to $8 million I think he and Rico are very similar..

So not keeping him wasn't the mistake not getting Derrick Henry was not the big mistake it was not getting another young guy you should draft a running back every four to five years and never pay one a second contract that should be the rule it was the rule when Ezekiel got signed and now all of a sudden everybody wanted us to bring all these older players for bigger money and yes Derek Henry is a Unicorn he's doing something most running backs would never do the man's body is ridiculous it's like he's not human he's an alien but our mistake was not nothing a third round running back or someone in between 3rd and 5th round that we know would have been possibly better and the second mistake is not utilizing Rico from day 120 carries a game and giving us a run game versus none.... Just look at the numbers Kareem hunt Tony Pollard , and rico , they're all not really any separation so I'll take the cheap guy but I'll get rid of our offensive coordinator and our scheme and our blocking because that's been our bigger problem that's all I'm saying man I'm not trying to have a big argument here I'm telling you not looking at it from inside out..

This has been a systemic problem and we can all agree that MikeM been our biggest issue and so is Mike Zimmer it's been our coaching it's been the play calls it's been the scheming the lack of adjustments that's a problem right here I mean you left Alvin cook sitting on the practice squad as if he needed time to work his way in what did Andy Reid do he got to pick Kareem hunt who didn't have a training camp he had no practice time he wasn't on a practice squad and day one they had the ball to him like 15 times and every time since they handed it to him at least times they gave it to him 27 times and he has not looked great he does not look oblique but they have a run game they commit to it and they stick to it that's been the problem HERE...

Our coaching staff are clueless on how to use players utilizing Turpin and Vaughn and these other guys in their proper spots they're just terrible at creating schemes to help get people open or help the blockers...

Same results but about 57 million dollars a year cheaper.
Yeah that's not how real people look at it that's how a casual sees it first of all stop looking at his money look at what he can do if our front office and our team was playing better there'd be a far different result Cooper Russ cannot win games long term during normal circumstances in this league he needs an absolute elite defense elite run game and elite everything else with a lot of luck just to look average did you look at his stat line 58% completion percentage 5 touchdowns 3 interceptions 2 fumbles 107 yards passing over those five games and all you're looking at is the actual record no the team was playing out of their minds and he still looked average look above average that's the point when Prescott came back with that same team playing that same way he could put 30 points on another team easy he is going to win games like in Seattle last year...

there is absolutely no way on earth Rush wins that game needed to score on every drive.. Dak did!!! Dak can and has won many games like that and we're in a lot of those.. He brought us back in the MIA game only to have th D fold as usual, had us toe to toe in hos first game against GB in the playoffs, defense folded as usual late, two games in 2022 had the 17 and 14 Point leads in the 4th ruined by Our defense as usual.

Rush has no ability to win those games, not even be in it let alone be up 14/17 on the road against playoff teams in the 4th qtr,

its what separates backups from true top10 starters .. I guess you selectively forgets those games,

games like being able to tie the game last in the 4th against NE than OT first series Bomb to CD wins it..lmao Rush is not that guy he s needs perfect team play just to survive, its still tight games to the end even when the D only gives up 16 and creating TOS and short fields, dak drops 40 in many of those....Real perspective!!

so, take that terrible philosophy without context and stuff it!!!

BTW

whay do other teams not think like this?? just use rush types to start save money lmao NOPE they pay

Jones 42MIL

Over 50 for Murray, Tua, Herbert, Watson, Wilson, Rogers, Lawerence, Love, hurts Goff ,Burrows, stafford, LJ,and allen etc

Purdy next but why they could go get another rookie start over its that easy..

single only QB to win on a rookie deal and after he got 50, is MAHOMES Yet teams still pay them before they do a single damn thing!!

You guys realize that for all the hate Dak gets - we don’t have anyone better on roster, right? Dallas will still continue to underperform and lose games - without having Dak to blame. Hopefully you’re prepared to accept that.

Hopefully we tank and start a rebuild with a good selection of draft picks for the coming year. Maybe we can snag our QB of the future, or a defensive lineman worth a damn.
I’ve had Rush’s but no more! The dude is just as lousy as Prescott is!!!! Time to move on from this career BACKUP!

At this point you play Lance and either he develops and will be cheap, or he will stink it up and give you a great draft pick. Sadly we already issued huge contracts to CD and Dak so money eaten up for a losing team.

dak being better then cooper rush is not a flex for dak

i know that seem obvious but i do feel it need to be said

again……..a $60,000,000 “franchise” qb being better then a $2,000,000 back up is not a flex or some thing to brag about just saying

Then he’s did his job to help this team. We need talent more than meaningless wins

Yes because everyone only blames dak.

This fake news is nuts.
Wouldn’t at all surprise me if Jerrah gave orders to big mike to have Rush throw these 2 yard passes.
We’ve all seen Rush sling the football, regardless how bad this team is.
I think Rush was held back by the play calling… this way Jerrah is justified in giving Dak a 60M per year contract.

Rush is not a QB1 but he’s not that pathetic either.

Agreed. I think he's earned another game or two...settle down a bit.

Dak is laughing right now.....so everybody blamed me. Did any of you watch the Chiefs today? That is a true team effort, not just one player.
Actually, yes

BUT the lions game. Imagine a qb having 5 ints and they still win??!! their d only allows 23 and no 2nd half points. Wow that's team right there., THey dont expect their qb to be perfect and wont quit on him.. that was insane...

sure, IM jealous when i see a team rally like that..

I will say...not Sunday, but week before...Rush threw a bullet on a 10-12 yard slant. Like a bullet bullet.

I dont know anything about QB play and how QB's are coached...but I dont see how Rush can display arm strength on one play, but look to have a noodle arm the entire game this past Sunday.

I get that Rush throwing his hardest once will look a lot different than most of his passes....but his passes are very very weak and hang in the air. Why not just rope them to the spot he wants to put it instead of letting them hang in the air? Because of timing with WR? I dont fully buy that. Just wait a split second longer to throw the ball if its about timing. Please dont say its because of the footwork timing and he has to throw based on his feet steps.

Based on what I saw last week...Rush has more strength he can put on the ball but didnt. Why?
