Besides the slant, I would also like to see a more of shovel pass, draw play, and screens.

I disagree on the offensive side. Romo did not have a ton of time during the day. He said himself that when you don't have a ton of time you can't wait for the deep stuff to open up because if you do then the short stuff will no longer be there.

With Columbo's issues early in the game I think Romo made a conscious decision that he was going to take the short stuff and not try to wait for the long stuff to open up. He took his buffalo experience and put it to good use all day.

The last drive for the game winning TD was a lot like the Buffalo drive for the late TD when he finally figured out that he was going to take what they gave him!

I was merely referring to the defensive coaches taking a week off.

I would hate to Second guess Jason Garrett as I am only a layman and Garrett has been around football his entire life.

One thing I never really understand, and someone may be able to correct me on this is why we don't throw more Quick Outs or Wide Receiver Slip Screens to Owens when they are double and tripple teaming him?

Let him get the ball quickly on the LOS and try to make a play with his legs.

The point YoMick brought up about the Slant, I believe Aikman or Buck said that it was there all day after T.O. dropped that huge pass and they said the Cowboys just weren't taking it.

My guess is that because on those type of plays, you have to look the ball in and turn your head upfield...Something that T.O. does not do very well as evident by alot of his drops. I'm not saying he can't do it (as evidence of him toasting Champ) but I think he is better running routes and reading what defenses are giving him and Romo.

Your guess would be wrong.
TO has problems with the Cross route not the Slant route.

Why not throw the slant?
Aikman said it was there all game long.
I think that play has to be implemented to get us going. We spend very little time on the field in 1st half. That will be our undoing in the playoffs.

Why not put TO in motion to get away from his double/triple coverage? Atleast get him the ball in space?

I'm baffled as well, We used to kill them with Irvin. I think TO is a big enough boy to play a little physical ball. As he told Madden before the Eagle game- he wants to run it. So... let;s
Get er Done!
