Let's face it. Marion the Librarian is done being an effective runner in this league and Felix struggles to pick up the blitz. While Choice's fumble against the Skins was costly, he's proven in the past that he's a well rounded RB and played very well for the Cowboys down the stretch to help lock up playoff spots.

You guys should really give him a chance, especially since there's really nothing left to lose at this point. He's young, he's hungry and he's actually a pretty good football player. I simply don't see how the Cowboys can justify using the Librarian week after week when all he does is get stuffed every single time.

This is how far we have come. Commander fans coming to our board posting the obvious.

I thought I couldn't feel any lower.

Thanks.....no really.

well I'm sure 99% of this message board were on their knees at their bedside at bedtime, praying for a swift entry into the starting lineup, as per Choice's request.......

I have no problem with Choice starting. I have said numerous times on the board that Choice is the more prototypical hb. Barber runs hard(most times) and Felix(speed sometimes). Choice should starts and Felix get's his 11-13 special plays. Barber to me takes the short yardage roll, regardless of the money issue, I also try to deal Barber and Bennett(who im sick of ) for draft picks. Even if there low draft picks. However, the main problem is still this line . Lets see what Sam Young has on the right side. I say draft a Derek Sherrod at LT and switch Free to Rt, depending on how Sherrod does at LT . Also try to get Mankins in FA. If the line doesn't decide to get it together it doesn't matter who's back there.

Well Washington isn't too far behind... Things aren't that bright in Washington, trust me. I live close enough to know, unfortunately.

I was disappointed not to see Choice get more carries Sunday night (not like it would have done him or the team any good). I think he's got more elusiveness in the hole than either Barber (who tries to bull his way through) and Felix (who tries to speed his way through).

While Felix is clearly better than Choice in the open field, the field hasn't been real open for Cowboys RBs lately. So I'd like to see more Choice carries, even at the expense of Felix (and certainly at the expense of MBIII).

Choice will get his shot, when he leaves as a FA. Until then he will be stuck behind our "starter". Don't know if that's Barber or Jones, but one the two.

At the end of the day Choice will prove to be better than both....but for another team.

Choice would/could be the best back we have, but screw him, he needs to go. I love the guys passion, but hate the fact that he was around TO when he was here. He's worried about HIS shot, and mad about HIS carries. When he does something good it's T...C...I think he needs an attitude adjustment and taught how to be a professional, not complain when a ball is too high or low. Make the play or get the heck out~

Given the same play, same exact hole and opportunity to run, I will take Jones all day over Choice or Barber. Why, simple, he is quicker/faster than either one of those guys will ever be and gives us the best chance for a big gainer. The problem this year however is not the RB's, it's (gasp!), the o-line.....I know, big shock.
All that said I have no problem letting Choice get a bunch of carries, it'll make him happy, we can rest Jones for next year and keep Barber healthy for a trade plus the season is shot anyway so there's nothing to lose.

Choice's leadership in college was legendary. If Garrett wants to promote leadership and accountability he could do worse than making this guy relevant.

Edit: We could use a little of this on this team.

I think Choice needs to be showcased between now and the end of the year. Trade him in the offseason or during the draft if the right offer is made. His rookie deal is getting close to the end and you may as well trade him, there is little chance that Choice will be in Dallas on a second contract anyway.

Why ?

Do you think he is no good, then trading him won't work.

If you think he is good, why trade him?

I agree he needs more carries, specifically all of Barbers.

I think he's a RB that is average in alot of areas but excels in no one thing. I think he's a player that can be replaced by a mid round pick.

If you think he is good, why trade him?

Instead of letting him walk at the end of his rookie deal you try to trade him, get something in return. You may get lucky and turn that pick into another Barber, Choice, Canty or Ratliff.

I would get him on the field at Barbers expense as well.

You need to worry about you own problems, for as bad as wade was,he would never bench romo for kitna with the game on the line causing an unneeded rift within the team, which is what the skins will have to deal with the rest of the year. And as far as barber goes,id like to see jim brown do any better with the OL we have.:star:

Never. They love Barber and Felix...plus Barber sells jerseys :laugh2:

"Librarian"

cute. So Choice will magically fling aside all the unblocked linemen, linebackers and safeties as he takes the ball and not only that, he will push the team to lock up before unobtainable playoff spots.

I like the kid, I've had the ol' pre-game speech from his college days since he was drafted but even Barry Sanders needed a little help blocking defenders from time to time.

All great answers !

That video has really lost it's luster for me after seeing how much of a whiney little kid he is this season.
