I don't think the plan will be for him to get more touches than Dowdle, but he might force it if he can be dynamic with whatever he does get. I'm not a big believer in Dowdle (would love to be proven wrong), so I could see Vaughn winning the job fairly quickly.

It'll be interesting to see the splits. We're probably looking at 30 total carries. If Pollard gets 15 of those, how are the other 15 split? I think some of it depends on if we view Luepke as a short-yardage back. That could mean 5-plus carries for him. So that would leave 10 between Dowdle and Vaughn.

Realistically, Jerry helped make sure that a great story is happening in Dallas with a father son duo working together on the Cowboys... but he's going to keep Deuce off the 53 somehow, opening night.

I am 100% serious. It's a numbers game, to be honest. It's about getting him on the game-day roster and I am not sure how they will do it. I could be wrong but I don't think they ever carried 3 RBs to a game last year. Now he isn't listed as RB2 and that would mean he would have to be on special teams to have a spot on the gameday. He is listed as the backup returner to Turpin. So if he isn't a top 2 RB and not the top returner I am not sure how he gets on. I'm curious to see how it works out.
