When will we use jaydon blue?

I don't want to hear the bs shottenheimer gives about consistency, it's the head coach job to get the players, it's been over 3 weeks of regular season. If blue isn't do his job or some other player you cut them or trade them sending a message to the other players. And some players don't players don't practice well, example Franco Harris. Just think if blue was playing instead when sanders ripped off a long run against the eagles, would have been a TD and we might have won. Same thing against the bears when Williams ripped off a long run and fumbled, with blue and his speed would have been a TD. To me it shows shottenheimer isn't coaching properly, especially allowing eberflus to continually run zone 90 percent of the time when diggs and Elam aren't zone cornerbacks but cover CB. Shottenheimer has no excuse for allowing this when shottenheimer was with the team when Dan Quinn was here, and tried zone, realized our defensive backs are cover guys, not zone, you play a player to his strengths,
 
I'm still pretty bullish on Blue, but it's very possible that we have been overestimating the guy since he was drafted.. A 5th round pick with his elite speed should be at least a slight red flag to be honest. On top of that he has missed a pretty big chunk of camp/pre season. All in all what has he really shown us to suggest he is worth an active roster spot other than the fact that he can run in a straight line faster than most? I'm still surprised that they haven't found a way to get him some sort of gadget role, but at the same time I dont blame schottenheimer if Blue isnt showing that he can pass protect, play ST, etc. Really hard to make it as a depth back if you cant do those things.
 
Doesn’t look like we are going anywhere this year, so might as well find out what we have in him at some point. If we keep losing and playing this bad figure by game 6 he should start to see some carries.

That's not how they think. At least not to the degree we think they should. Last year was an example of that.
 
Good point, I have zero trust in this team’s management and coaching either. Didn’t think of that.

I've never understood the gadget role concept for rbs and mediocre running qbs. Bringing in a one dimensional player who can only do one thing is a red flag to the defense of what is coming.

I don’t think you’re wrong at all there. If you’re not able to do multiple things well then you’re really not a good player at this level. I’m still surprised they haven’t found a gadget type of role for him, but I’m not mad they haven’t either.
